NOTE: I'm working on the first challenge - none are available to attempt yet, sorry follow the studio for updates and new challenges! https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/35945599 thought I could try making very basic Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges here on Scratch :D good luck finding flags! ...no, I mean CTFs as in cybersecurity, not the sporty game where you run around stealing actual flags. more info inside the project <--- but here's a short introduction (stolen off google): CTF in cybersecurity refers to an exercise in which participants attempt to find text strings, called "flags", which are secretly hidden in programs or websites. they can be used for both competitive and educational purposes. I hope I can open some young scratchers' eyes to the world of CTFs, and by extension cybersecurity, through this project :)
do not post solutions/flags in the comments, please! disclaimer (just in case): scratchCTF is not an actual real-life CTF competition (or similar official kinda stuff) - this project series is merely something I made on impulse. I am a complete beginner at CTFs who thinks she is smarter than she is by attempting to make a challenge (let alone multiple) on scratch. scratchCTF will update and release new challenges irregularly. please report any bugs in the comments, thank you! feedback and criticism is also greatly appreciated. feel free to remix my challenges! you can make them easier, make them harder, make them better, or use them for your own projects (with my permission of course). big thanks to my friend for introducing me to CTFs, and my dad for guiding me along the way :) sources are included within the project. some guy actually solved CTFs with scratch. here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VM7nhE3j65I changelog [20/11/24] shared project with no playable challenges (yet!) I totally forgot you can add tags to project descriptions tell me if this works #scratch
