Hey y'all, Abby here!! So I've been suuuper inactive lately-- the last time I posted was *checks* OCTOBER 12 and that was *math* SEVEN MONTHS AGO WHAT Anyhoo, I figured I owed y'all an update, and I threw in an art dump for good measure. Space, click or arrow keys to navigate. Enjoy! (Scratch messed up the quality on some of this but it mostly looks fine) 1. Jawa --> Traditional. Aurebesh reads "Jawa" (kinda speaks for itself lol). I made this as a cover for my lofi playlist, and I think it looks pretty cute! 2. More Jawas --> Traditional. I really like these; I intend to color them and make them into stickers at some point. 3. Annie --> Kleki. Just as a note, this is based off of the specific actress and dog from my school's show-- we had a Borzoi as Sandy (and he was an absolute pleasure backstage) and Annie broke her leg a few weeks before opening night and wore a cast for the whole show. I think this drawing turned out pretty well; especially Annie's hair. It does, however, lack depth, which could have been achieved through better and more detailed shading. 4-6. Drawings I made for some Christmas ornaments --> Kleki. Number 4 is Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati (soon to become SAINT Pier Giorgio Frassati!!!!), 5 is Darth Revan, and 6 is Obi-Wan Kenobi. Revan is the best out of these; the shading on him turned out really well. Obi-Wan is based off of his Clone Wars look, and honestly, it didn't turn out too great. Lots of issues with facial proportions there. Bl Pier Giorgio looks pretty stiff, but the emotion is definitely there. 7. Darth Bane and Young Zannah --> Traditional. Bane didn't turn out awesome, but Zannah. ZANNAH. She turned out absolutely ADORABLE and I love her to death. 8. Short BoTW comic --> Traditional. Looks pretty good, but my foreshortening skills weren't great when I drew it. (I mean, they still aren't, but they're slightly better) 9. More BoTW --> Chrome Canvas, traced from traditional. I wanna make a sticker out of this at some point. 10. A Midsummer Night's Dream --> Traditional. Nick Bottom looks SPECTACULAR with his donkey head. Poses, however, are stiff, and hands are abominations. Satisfactory overall. 11. Dewdles --> Traditional. Drawn on a school schedule. Shading turned out pretty well! 12. What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn't he? --> Traditional. Accuracy isn't great, and the hands are atrocious, but I LOVE the expression. 13. short Dorian Gray comic --> Traditional. Based on a scene from The Picture of Dorian Gray. It's a nice moment, but Dorian's face looks wildly different in every panel and I got lazy on the poses. 14. Percy Jackson as a pirate --> Traditional. Drawn as a request from a friend. Pretty good, but the pose is incredibly weird. 15. Bad Batch s3 art --> Traditional. I approve. 16. Pop Tart (Graphic Design assignment) --> Kleki. Don't love it, don't hate it. Got a 100 on the assignment, so I can't complain too much. 17. Heir to the Empire watercolor --> Traditional. Considering my limited watercolor abilities, I'd say it turned out relatively well. 18. Pride and Prejudice doodle --> Traditional. Drawn on a sticky note backstage, based on our production's Lizzy. Doesn't look much like her :P 19. Jack Sparrow doodle --> Traditional. We were talking about skeletons in Biology, so this magically appeared on my notes. 20. Kuzco --> Traditional. Kinda good, but the eyes are EVER SO SLIGHTLY OFF and I CANNOT UNSEE IT 21. Senator Riyo Chuchi, the great and almighty --> Traditional. Aurebesh reads "Senator Riyo Chuchi". Very nicely drawn, got all the details of her hair. Face doesn't really look like her, but I still like this drawing. 22. Scar --> Traditional. This drawing was a learning experience for me. I learned that I cannot draw animal bodies. 23. Six of Crows fanart --> Traditional. A funny idea I had that turned out exactly as I pictured it :) 24-25. Be Prepared (Graphic Design assignment) --> Photoshop. yes yes YES I love this so much. The background is burned cardboard; the fire is that which the cardboard burned by (edited heavily, ofc), and Scar is all me. 26. Bad Batch s3 fanart (spoilers) --> Traditional. Another funny idea that turned out pretty much just as it was in my head. Much yes, molto buono. 27. Kaz Brekker doodle (Six of Crows) --> Traditional. Drawn on a sticky note during AP Lit. Absolutely failed the mirror test. 28. Victorian-era girl sitting at window --> One of the first things I drew on Krita! Kinda sloppy and definitely inconsistent; I'm not great at the lineless style, but it's charming in its own right.
29. Jane Eyre fanart (if you know you know) --> Krita. Jane Eyre is my favorite book, and this is my favorite scene-- I lovingly call it the "m-dash scene". The panels definitely degrade in drawing quality as it goes down-- I'm not the best at drawing people's backs... however I do LOVE how Rochester's face turned out. 30. Lumiere --> Krita. A couple issues with proportions and line weight is super inconsistent, but mostly alright overall; you can definitely tell who it is. 31. A scene from a dream I had --> Krita. I love love LOVE this drawing-- I think the lineart and lighting turned out really well, and I even drew a background (which I don't often do) and it turned out nicely! I think it really evokes the mood of the dream as well. It doesn't look a whole ton like me, but I think if you knew me, you'd be able to tell who it is. Especially 'cuz that's, like, the only outfit I ever wear. I won't elaborate on the dream's plot here, but if you ask me in the comments, I'll fill you in. 32. An OC ref --> Krita. another drawing I really like-- the pose is nice and dynamic, the cape flows really well, the face looks about the same in each picture, the lineart is neat, MY HANDWRITING IS LEGIBLE, and you can clearly see the emotions. I'd call that a win. The only critiques I have are that I kinda gave up on one of his hands and the coloring is splotchy in some areas due to some self-inflicted technical difficulties.... As for the character himself, there's way too much backstory to explain in full, but I'll tell you give you a basic rundown in the comments if you ask. CREDITS------- All art by me :) Characters included from Star Wars, Annie, Breath of the Wild, Shakespeare, Lord of the Rings, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Percy Jackson, Pride and Prejudice, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Emperor's New Groove, The Lion King, Six of Crows, Jane Eyre, and Beauty and the Beast.
