welp here we are. she stared up at the stage, listening to every word. she hadn't been here long, and already she noticed his eyes boring into her. from the stage, Caleb saw her in the crowd. he kept singing, his fingers strumming the guitar strings. he switched chords every few seconds. however, his eyes never left bella. "I don't want to set the world on fire," he sang, as the crowd watched. "I just want to start a flame in your heart." she continued watching, the others around her murmured to each other about his voice, it was smooth as cream. "in my life I have but one desire," their eyes met, and he smiled, just a little bit, hardly enough to notice. "and that one is you, no other will do." she glanced around, and seeing that there was several people watching her, apparently aware of who he was singing to. bella blushed slightly, and stepped back into the crowd. "i've lost all ambition, for worldly acclaim." she sang back to him. nobody in the crowd noticed who it was that was singing. "I just want to be the one you love," as she sang, Caleb continued to play his guitar. "and with your admission, that you feel the same," he grinned, knowing his plan to make her confess had worked. "I've reached the goal I'm dreaming off!" then Caleb joined back in, singing with her. "I don't want to set the world on fire, I just want to start a flame in your heart." she stepped up onto the stage, walking toward caleb. the crowd murmured to each other. who was the person? "in the world I have one desire, and that one is you, no other will do." as the song ended, the crowd drifted off, still curious. he stood, grinning. "well now, I didn't expect you to come up here with me, but that's fine too." he leaned down and kissed her on the cheek, then took her hand and led her out of the park, saying "c'mon Bella, lets go get a treat. I haven't gone out with you in a while."
credits to the ink spots for the song, I don't want to set the world on fire.
