[ Lilybush] Lilybush heard rustling in the bushes. She slithered out of the way, for it could be a mongoose. “Lilybush, it’s me. I’m not a mongoose, you silly snake.” Waterbird said, laughing. She came over to Lilybush. “I already found so much prey, and well, you haven’t found anything.” Lilybush raised her hood, knowing it wouldn’t faze Waterbird but she felt like a threat. Normally no one in her snake clan felt like a threat, but well, Waterbird was so annoying. She acted like she was perfect, getting so much prey for the clan, learning everything perfectly and well, being the daughter of the clan leader made her a favorite of everyone. Lilybush, on the other hand, got almost no prey, wasn’t that good at school and wasn’t the daughter of the clan leader. She and Waterbird were opposites. “Two rat snakes, huh? So much prey. And you look like you’ve taken a swim in the river. I can tell the elders you know.” “Ha! The elders would never believe you, they don’t listen to scum like you.” Waterbird said, unfazed. Lilybush couldn’t let Waterbird get to her. “MONGOOSE!!” Lilybush yelped and then slithered away. A few hours later. Lilybush was at the prey pile, fairly small for the warm season, although the rains were coming soon. At least she thought. The past few rains had been a few sunrises too late or too early. Lilybush didn’t know why, but she was sure it was because Waterbird had been disobeying the elders with many things against the code. Lilybush, for one, had never broken the code. One of the elders slithered over to her. Moonrise had beautiful black and white scales and pale blue eyes. “Why hello Lilybush. Waterbird has told me you were down at the river today, during Hunting. Is this true? I wouldn’t want to charge a fellow clanmate with High Treason.” Moonrise said. “What? Oh no, it was —” Lilybush was interrupted by a loud YES!!. “Lilybush, Lying and High Treason. What mongoose-like behavior. I wouldn’t expect that from you. Well, you know what must happen.” Moonrise sounded so disappointed. Lilybush knew and she wished she didn’t. “Exile." Lilybush slithered away from the camp, wishing Waterbird hadn’t lied and gotten her exiled. [Waterbird] Lilybush is a very annoying hatchling. Waterbird, on the other hand, was not. She wasn't even a hatchling. She was 4 seasons older than a hatchling. Unlike Lilybush, who was only 1 season older than a hatchling. Plus, Lilybush wasn't even as cool as Waterbird, because she was the daughter of the clan leader. Waterbird had blue scales with little black spots speckled throughout. She had sharp green eyes. She was going to be clan leader one day. When she heard Lilybush slither away, she jumped out of the bushes. "Lilybush, it’s me. I’m not a mongoose, you silly snake," She said. “I already found so much prey, and well, you haven’t found anything.” At that, Lilybush raised her hood. Waterbird slithered back a little, but not much so Lilybush wouldn't notice. They talked a little and then Lilybush screamed MONGOOSE!, which freaked Waterbird out so she slithered away so fast to the clan's camp. "Hey, Moonrise! I noticed Lilybush at the river when I was hunting," Waterbird said to Moonrise. " She was in the river, just to clarify." "What?! Lilybush, the snake that has never broken the code in her whole life! How mongoose-like! So unlike her." Moonrise said and kept going on and on about mongooses and Lilybush so Waterbird slipped away slowly. She hated Lilybush with her life and, well Lilybush hated her. Soon, Lilybush had been exiled from the clan. Happy, Waterbird slithered to her family's large hole where they lived and worked. "Father, did you hear?" Waterbird asked her father. "Lilybush has been exiled!" "Waterbird, that is no reason to be happy, that means two things. Number 1, her parents are very far in the council, and I could be killed because it is the elders ending the debate, not me. And 2, that means less members, and less protection from mongooses. " Waterbird asked, "What do you mean by less protection?" "Lilybush could have been a great warrior--" A snake slithered through the hole, into the biggest part, where Waterbird and her father were talking. "The elders have made a decision. You are to be killed." it said. Waterbird hissed, but in her head, she would be happy to be clan leader. Well until she heard that she had to watch Father die, and then kill a mongoose for the ceremony.
[Notes about the story] So this story is about these King cobras who live in a clan. I know this is not scientifically accurate but its okay(its just a story) So all of this is totally fake and entirely inspired by warrior cats. The characters are Waterbird and Lilybush, but with some other minor characters. The story might get some add-ons i don't knowwhat should happen next though. Also please don't steal I wrote this for fun! If you want to take inspo please please please give credit/ remix. Also this is an entry for a contest so don't mind that. Also I have written better things sooo.... I hope you enjoy. (ps if you read this far you can put the word mongoose in the chat and get a shout-out on my profile)
