Alrighty! Here's a semi-scripted open MAP for yall! ^^ This MAP is going to be for advanced and semi-advanced artist's and animators, and each part has a certain theme going for it. Some parts require AMV, others PMV, some you can choose how you'd like to animate. This MAP will have a loose(ish) script, different for each part, that MUST be followed or the part WILL NOT be accepted. Most of the AMV only parts are very short so i expect them to be animated at least somewhat well (gimmie MOVEMENT--!!) Annnd right into the rules: Enjoy reading this essay >:) - No tracing, art theft, gatcha, etc... common sense pls - Use your OWN OC's, fandom characters are fine, as long as your character of choice is capable of running its all good (sorry aquatic characters ;c) - RUN, they must RUN in the part. A lot. - try not to put lyrics on your part - You get 5 weeks for each part, with extensions if I see a WIP or I invited/know your actually gonna finish and not poof into the I-don't-exist-anymore realm - Try to have a max of 2 sprites, AMV parts can have 3 but unless your doing some serious rigging with code there I dunno what you need 3 for. - If I don't answer (within like... a week) its a polite no, not that I comment much anyway, it's too stressful in this day and age T^T - No asking again and again for parts if you don't get an answer. I don't really miss messages, not that it couldn't happen, it's just its more likely you weren't accepted.. sorry ;c - Use the form pls, high chance I'll just ignore if you simply comment (unless invited). - 2 parts max per person, unless you can prove you'll actually do 3 without loosing quality/dropping or needing a collab. - If ur invited you can reserve 2 parts, 3 if you wanna but if you do three do make sure to actually do them eventually and not drop them 8 weeks later >:C - REMIX this project, i won't go searching for your part through a link (ill probobly loose it and then loose my mind in the process of doing so) - FOLLOW SCRIPT! Even tho I said semi-scripted, it's kinda strict, so it's more like 8/10ths scripted, hehe. Each part will tell you what time of day it is, pallete, type of part, direction character is running and what-not - try and have fun! Or try something new if you cant :(, like a new style of animating or technique, so even if you're about to punt your computer across the room because you can't figure out a perspective you want, you'll get something out of it at least xD /gen TNE rules: - no need to ask to do them, just make sure to remix - I likely won't comment on TNEs, that's just the way I am, sorry again... - make sure to include the song title "Run Boy Run" and "Complete MAP" somewhere on the TNE - Try to show the whole pallete, such as night turning to day or sunrise with the night above, not required tho.(example in this project's thumbnails.) - Use a character as the focal point pls (preferably running, as this MAP is about running), not just a scene (Script is at the bottom of notes and credits) EXTRA NOTES: - antagonist characters, or 'bad guys' chasing ur OC, MUST be black silhouettes with red eyes. They may have visible accessories, if you have an OC antagonist, or identifiable features of said OC antagonist (example: scars or a crown). Antagonist OCs may have red sclera (white of the eye) with their original pupil. (This is only if you want to have something chasing your OC, otherwise ignore this and just animate your OC running away from something unknown.) - Parts are between 3 seconds and 10 seconds, most being 3-5 (excluding outro with 14 seconds). Check backdrops to see how long each part is. - OCs with wings or flight CANNOT fly (for some reason) in this MAP. Maybe they forgot, maybe they're injured, dunno. - OCs with patterns or identifiable features (example in the TNE) can be normal colored (the pattern/feature only), and even glow during NIGHT. Keep it minimal though, the example in the TNE is probobly MAX light colors and glow allowed. - If you don't wanna/can't animate running or run cycles, then make it seem like they're running, such as only showing upper half of their body, cool camera angles that avoid legs, faster movements, etc. - (EDIT) Also, I'm going to be a bit strict-ish about who join which part, some parts I may not accept you for while others I might, just depending on your style/skill level. I don't do this to be mean I just want to have this MAP come out at the highest quality it can, because I don't host MAPs often and when I do they better actually come out decently and in a timely manner (/gen). Harder parts to get would be many of the transition parts (examples: 13, 23, 24), intros and outro. I will tell you if you could get in but just not with the part you requested. - If you asked to be pinged, I will add you to the ping list but chances are I won't respond. Do tell me if I missed anything! ^^ Song is by Woodkid All art/code in this project is mine Rules are subject to change :>
EDIT: I am currently very inactive due to personal reasons, I do still check my messages so this MAP is still active, I will just take longer to accept or decline parts! Sorry! Uninvited form: User (with @) // part(s) requested (or as a backup) // animation examples (if AMV part) or Art examples (if PMV part) or both (if AMV and PMV part) // questions/comments/concerns Just ask if you were invited ^^ (Script at bottom) PARTS: 1(intro 1)- @plus1_DINOSAUR ✓ 2(intro 2)- 27carrots_ ✓ 3- @suzpanda2011 ✓ 4- @KME312 ✓ 5- @vvhispers + @Pikakit ✓ 6- @foxythepirateplushie ✓ 7- @-Dragovenator- ✓ 8- @anonymous_artist1 ✓ 9- @the_WOF-fle ✓ 10- @-stellarlights- ✓ 11- @StormDog132 (???) 12- @SwordOWLonScratch ✓ 13- @plus1_DINOSAUR (???) 14- @fib1123meow ✓ 15- 16- @Raiiden- + @dackcode (Sept 21st) 17- @Snicker_Doodlesss ✓ 18- 19- @FoxesULYMIA ✓ 20- 21- @AMPHlPTERE ✓ 22- @AlexandratheFox ✓ 23- @W1ld4641 ✓ 24- @Thephantomhourglass ✓ 25- @_ruckus ✓ 26- @Fluffykiwis ✓ 27- @Floof0fChaos ✓ 28- @Pikakit ✓ 29- @aeslehc2022 ✓ 30- 31- 32- @DragonLoverNr-1 ✓ 33- @GazerOfStars- ✓ 34- 35- @PupFlower ✓ 36- 37- @StormDog132 ✓ 38- @the---creature (Sept 21st) 39(outro)- Backups: - - - SCRIPT(ish): NOTE: EACH PART WILL TELL YOU WHAT DIRECTION CHARACTER IS RUNNING, TYPE OF PART, PALLETE AND TIME OF DAY. MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW THESE RULES DEPENDING ON THE PART YOU TAKE!! NOTE 2, TERMS: DARK/NIGHT: Pallete is dark, no light colors or white. No moon, or no moon visible on screen. In a dark forest. SUNRISE: Sunrise backdrop. Warm colors where sun is, but otherwise cool/dark colors still present, OC will be a darkened shade of their original colors, or dark shade with warm lighting if you'd like. DAY: light colors, daytime basically, blue sky, sun is visible in the sky. -(Intro 1 - Intro 2) AMV OR PMV.These parts will be our intros, [intro 1] will have the title of the MAP, words across the screen (preferably to the beat of the song) saying something along the lines of 'brought to you by 39 amazing artists/animators' idk something like that, classic intro type ya' know. [Intro 2] will have a transition from intros to normal parts, so an 'enjoy' at the beat, and then maybe a character running from the side of the screen into action. BOTH PARTS ARE SET AT NIGHT IN A FOREST. PALLETE IS DARK COLORS. NO BRIGHTS, NO WHITES. Character is running towards the LEFT. - (3-12) AMV ONLY. Character is in a DARK forest at NIGHT. Running TOWARDS the LEFT of the screen. All colors should be darkened considerably, especially if ur OC is originally brightly colored. Eyes of your MAIN OC or MAIN antagonist may be normal colored or even glowing. - (13) AMV OR PMV. Character runs out of the DARKly colored forest, to a cliff/ledge/some kind of object that makes them stop for a moment . The sun is rising (SUNRISE) in the distance. Use a warm and cool color combo that contrasts the FOREST from the sunrise colors. They should be overlooking a plains/arid biome. Some place with a lot of flat ground and not a lot of trees. Give an awestruck expression to your OC if you want. Running LEFT. - (14) SUNRISE. AMV OR PMV. Colors are slightly warm, still many cool colors. Not in forest anymore, and like part 13, are overlooking the sunrise. Start running away at the end of this scene. Give an awestruck expression to your OC if you want. Running LEFT. - (15 - 18) SUNRISE. AMV OR PMV. Sunrise is in the background. character running towards LEFT. PLAINS BIOME OR FLAT AREA is where they are running. - (19 - 22) AMV. SUNRISE. Running LEFT. Plains biome or flat area. 20 can have some PMV, sorry 20. - (23 - 24) AMV OR PMV. DAY. Sunrise pallete intensifies, get rid of darkened colors, all normal colors now. In 23, the character pauses (maybe looks at sun) TURNS AROUND and (if any) antagonist characters fade or burn away (if no antagonist, have the dark colors burn or fade away). RUNNING towards RIGHT now, and can look happier if you want. 24, character is running RIGHT, but still have darkness burn away or something - (25 - 38) AMV OR PMV. DAY. Character running RIGHT. Character can look happier, no antagonist characters. Running for fun rather than for fear. For parts 3 seconds or under pls try AMV more ^^ - (39 outro) PMV. DAY. I might do this part, unless someone rlly wants to follow these rules. PMV images of characters in DARK, SUNRISE, and DAY, and for each, corresponding credits to each artist who took a part within those. Confusing rules sorry T^T. (Example, 28-38 are DAY parts, so when the background PMV image turns day, credits that slide across the screen are from those parts. Kinda get me? ;c. ) Anyways check this out! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/462120689
