౨ৎ Spring/Summer Update Today was a beautiful spring day, perfect for spending quality time with my horses. I started my morning with Nubbins, focusing on some bonding activities. I tried putting on a halter first, and it went great. We took some time grooming and talking, strengthening our connection. Next, I worked with Cloudy. We practiced our stops and canter transitions, making great progress. Cloudy responded well, and I could see improvement in our communication and timing. After Cloudy, it was time for some jumping exercises with Ink, my Haflinger horse. We did a series of jumps to help muscle up, and Ink was energetic and eager to take on the challenge. The fillies had a chance to jump around freely in the arena while I enjoyed some quiet moments petting Koda. They were full of energy, and it was delightful to watch them play. Storm and I then had an exhilarating gallop. The wind in our faces and the rhythm of his strides made for an unforgettable ride. I let the mare and her colt run free in the arena, giving them a chance to stretch and enjoy the open space. Watching them interact and play was heartwarming. Pebbles and I did some bareback riding, which always helps us build trust and balance. It was a calm and soothing experience, just what we needed. Bandit and I practiced some dressage movements. We worked on precision and grace, which was a rewarding session for both of us. To end the day, I made sure the stallions had some free time. However, Rainy and Spot got into a bit of a fight. I quickly intervened, ensuring everyone was safe and calmed them down. It was a fulfilling and eventful day, and I can't wait to see what next week brings with these wonderful horses.
