As Giga walked around the homeland outsiders call a "website", she kept asking people the same question: Where is Scratch Cat? For an entire month, he had been missing. Nobody knew where he went. Some people gave up their search for him and assumed he was dead. But Giga knew better. She would not stop until she found him. But she looked everywhere by now, there was nowhere he could possibly be... Wait. There was one place she never looked. His own house. Why didn't she think of it sooner? If he wasn't here, that confirmed he was dead. She ran to his home. She had been there so many times, she memorized the path. She wondered if he was okay and what she'd say when she found him. She opened the door. All the other doors were locked... But there was a gigantic hole in the wall. Something slightly cat-shaped... Bingo. Giga leaped through the hole, leading to a room she had never seen before. The walls and floor were a giant grid. At the end of the room was Scratch Cat. She ran up to him in joy. "Scratch Cat, I'm so happy I finally found-" She stopped right when her finger touched Scratch Cat's shoulder. Her expression of joy turned into horror. In front of Scratch Cat was a pit. A deep pit with some kind of blue glow. She could hear voices coming from the pit. Talking, whispering...Screaming. And some of these voices sounded familiar to her. They sounded like people she had never seen in a very long time... "Giga, what a surprise!" Her friend said. "I didn't expect you to show up. But you made it at the perfect time!" He turned around. Giga felt a scream exiting her mouth. His face was horrifically disfigured. His white eyes were the only source of light in his dark eyesockets. His smile, the smile that always made Giga feel better after a rough day...was stretched to the sides of his face. He looked dehydrated. Giga wanted to ask if he was okay, but the words wouldn't come out. She was too horrified. "Come! Gaze into eternity as I have!" He said, walking towards Giga, still with that menacing grin. She wanted to scream, but she couldn't. No sound came out. She could only watch as what was left of her best friend slowly approached her to do god knows what to her.
