Inspired by Quirkycat's project. The song is "Carried Away" by Passion Pit, which I heard on the radio and have had stuck in my head ever since. :) I've been drawing anime (or at least what I thought was anime) since fourth grade, but my art from that year was unbearably bad and you probably saw my slightly-less-awful fifth grade art on my first account, Firethorn (which I forgot the password to). So I'm not including stuff from either of those years. Okay. So here we go. 2010-'11: 1) First ever, if you can believe that, drawing of Aaya. And better than a lot of the ones I did later. 2) Another one where she's showing off her powers. I hate Microsoft Paint... 3) Some picture I drew, I think for a school project. This might have been in that Social Studies AMV-thing I put up on Firethorn. 4) Another school thing where we had to make up our own Egyptian gods and draw them. 5) Cueat3, where have you gone? I had to put this in because I kinda miss that. Although the eyes are not where they probably should be. 6) I think this was supposed to be Mitsuki's alter-ego Fullmoon from Full Moon O Sagashite. The shading is terrible and the fluffy stuff on the shirt makes my eyes hurt... not to mention where I put her eyes... ugh. Why did I include this again? Oh right, because I'm showing how my art evolved. 7) And now we get into the second half of the year and my short-lived but fun obsession with Hetalia. We did Model UN at summer camp this past year, which felt like a really messed-up version of Hetalia (Germany was the comic relief, and there was a guy who was Iran). 8) I wish I'd done more on this series, but it was an unoriginal cross between Maximum Ride and Lex-Creatrix's "Stitches" stuff (she was so good that everyone on Scratch should know who she was), so maybe I don't. The first thing I thought when I saw this drawing again was "This girl is on fiyaaaaah...." Lol. 9) Unfinished and lazily colored Akita Neru with "Vocaloid" written above her head in Japanese. Pretty much sums up all my art in the second half of that year- lazy and anime-related. 10) Hands-down best drawing I did all year. I had some fun with the layer tool in the background (with the glass wall and lamps) and improved a lot on cats over that year... although the cats I drew were still pretty scrawny. 2011-'12: 11) Part of an AMV I made for social studies which you can find on InvaderAaya (you'll know it when you see it.) I was really figuring out how to use the smear tool in Autodesk when I made this. 12) Request for InvaderKez, drawn in the fall. 13) One of the best backgrounds I've ever done, although I could probably do the squirrel better now. 14) A product of reading too many Maximum Ride books in a certain amount of time. 15) Based on "Last Night Good Night" by Hatsune Miku, drawn around Christmastime. I have no idea what that black circly-thing is in the middle. The Japanese next to the circly-thing says "oyasumi", which is something Miku says in the song and it means "good night". 16) Drawn when people were talking about seeing the Northern Lights. 17) I've always had this strange fascination with Art Deco stuff and the 1920s... here's something that exists because of that. No, she isn't the Slenderman's sister or whatever. I just never got to drawing her face. 18) If you're a baseball fan, you'll appreciate this. If you're a Red Sox fan, you'll love this. If you're neither of the above, you'll just like it for the cat. 19) Drawn while listening to "Rabbit Heart" by Florence and the Machine. 2012-'13: 20) She must really be enjoying that popsicle. 21) Has anyone else here read the book Cinder? Because I drew this inspired by that book. And there's a hand covered in circuitboard scars. Okay, I think I'm officially dedicating this drawing to Lex-Creatrix although she disappeared from Scratch over a year ago. We still love ya, Lex. 22) Characters from Divergent. READ. IT. NOW. 23) The icon I was using before I switched to my new one (please, doesn't anyone know what it is?) This has a drawing in it that would evolve into a whole character later. 24) Chantal the cat. Adopted and adorable. 25) I originally drew this for Timmystar12 as a Christmas present for her, and I was going to draw a couple others and put them in as well, but I got wicked busy... sorry! 26) New character that I have been drawing a ton. Camryn. (Cam.) She was originally that drawing in my old icon but I decided to give that drawing a personality and this is what happened. 27) 27 is one of my favorite numbers. This is a pic I took at my grandma's house- I noticed she had an actual record player just sitting around, and I said so, and then we ended up finding this old Steve Miller Band record that used to be my uncle's in the '70s and we put it on and it was just really cool (and I don't even like them that much, it was just because of the record player). Okay, you're probably getting tired of me babbling. On to the next picture. 28) Partially inspired by my thought that I would make a character to be Cam's boyfriend (his name, I have just decided, will be Nick) and partially inspired by the news that one of my friends kissed a guy. Sorry to end on a note that could be considered sappy and lame, but I didn't pick this to be last (therefore best) for the content. I picked it because I tried out some new techniques (hair, shading, clouds) and I think it turned out pretty well. And this is one of the times I wish I had deviantart because with Scratch it looks like I just colored the hair in solid. And there you go! That is my art of the past three years. Now get on with your lives. :)
