I’m really glad someone finally spoke out about how messed up DTAs have become. After an incident where it turned out the host was just using it as an excuse to get free art of characters, I just stopped entering them. It’s not the only reason why I stopped- I also found that hosts seem to prefer art over story, and well. What’s the point of getting a design if you’re not going to use it in a meaningful way? I guess that’s why there’s WTAs, but… that doesn’t make the DTA situation any better. I could go on and on but Meadow already has that part covered. Here’s the actual entry now. Name: Moon's Progeny Gender & Pronouns: Bigender & He/She Species: Omni West-Dragon This design gives me villain/final boss vibes, so I added some final boss music. Anyway meet Moon’s Progeny, or just Progeny for short. He’s a descendant of an ancient dragon from the moon, and is in charge of a large hoard of magic power-giving crystals and gems. While transporting the hoard to a different, more secure location, however, some crystals slipped through the cracks and got found by various animals. It made some of their lives better, some of their lives worse, and some of them made other’s lives worse because of the magic. Progeny isn’t really a villain, more so an antagonist, because the protagonists who got the magic have to convince her to let them keep the crystals. I don’t have specifics, but I do have some other ideas regarding conflicts between him and characters. 1. The original design 2. My interpretation/reference sheet 3. Cool shaded scene of Progeny sitting with their magic crystal hoard. I forgot to change the canvas size so the quality got messed up. Oops. It looks like a game cutscene now though which is cool.
