------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: READ THE REST OF THE DESCRIPTION WHEN THE PROJECT TELLS YOU TO! EVERYTHING INSIDE THE PROJECT IS DIRECTLY TAKEN FROM ACTUAL SITUATIONS. SCREENSHOTS ARE FROM ACTUAL SCENARIOS THAT HAVE HAPPENED AND ACTUAL TEXT MESSAGES BETWEEN PEOPLE! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, I do NOT condone hate speech in any way, this project is not meant to offend anyone at all. I just want to share my opinion on a similar topic and to spread awareness. Read the original project for their opinion regarding ai/art theft/ tracing !!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ALSO: THIS PROJECT IS NOT ABOUT SCRATCH ITSELF, MOSTLY ABOUT OTHER SOCIALS!!! Let's get started with a hypothetical situation. You are a beginner artist who wants to learn how to draw, you feel inspired by those around you and creators online who make you feel passionate for art. You want to enhance your drawing capabilities and feel that maybe you could turn art into a career in the future. You also want to find others like you who are in a similar situation/have a similar skill set as you. You log onto social media sites and post something sharing your progress! Then, you get bombarded with negativity, hate speech, violent comments, d@ath threats and more. Just because of your art skill level. Just because you're a beginner artist people feel the need to attack you because you are a BEGINNER. This is a HUGE situation regarding the art community and its toxic side with "art lore" + other hateful things concerning new artists. Also, I don't want any misunderstandings. Scratch is a very wholesome place and has an extremely tight and happy art community! I am mainly talking about basically any social media app other than scratch. But this also does concern scratch as well. I will get into that later though. Personally, I have witnessed so many videos online about beginner artists, making fun of their work and other stuff. Which eventually influences them to quit and never draw again. Believe it or not a similar situation happened to me like a few weeks ago on a diff social app. Which is kind of why I stopped posting for a little while :,) There definitely is a social influence on beginner artists to automatically be "good" at art. There is no doubt about that. No one starts off good at art, no one. Art is something that takes time and skill to perfect, no one starts out drawing masterpieces. We all learn and grow at our own pace too, don't get upset at yourself and beat yourself up for taking a long time to improve. Its OKAY to be a beginner artist! I do not want anyone to feel ashamed to be a beginner. I have witnessed lots of people using ai on this website, and on other websites as well. No I do not condone the use of ai, but you also have to understand that there IS a person behind those accounts that have feelings as well. and they are MOST LIKELY to be a CHILD!!! The MAJORITY of ai art users out there are KIDS. You should not bully nor harass these children for using ai. No ai art is not a good thing but these children are most likely insecure about their own art. Every ai art acc I've seen on here who have confessed to using ai always say "I didn't think my art was good enough to post it" or something along the lines of that. I have so much sympathy in my heart to people/children who actually feel the need to use ai instead of their own art. and it is 100% the art communities fault for this along with a few other individuals. I've seen so many ai user accounts on this site get absolutely FLAMMED with hate comments + threats. Its one thing to tell someone off but directly telling them nasty things is too far. If you see someone using ai on this site, rather than spreading hate to them you can simply just inform them that what they are doing is wrong, encourage them to use their OWN art instead, or report + ignore them. It's so sad how some people feel the need to bash people who use ai when most of them are literal kids who may or may not know. Even if someone does know that it is wrong is it really right of you to harass them? No this is not justifying the use of ai/art theft, more like a reasoning as to why these people feel the need to do so! Some people just want attention that they may/may not get irl. You ultimately do not know someone's situation so it is not right for you to automatically assume that they are a horrible human being for using ai/stealing art.( yes they are in the wrong for it ) Although there are people who do use ai/steal art just because and don't feel any remorse for doing so, it is gross of them to rightfully steal something that is someone else's or use ai, those people are bad. But again you do not know how someone else feels. Again they may be coming from other social media sites, where hate for beginner artists is absolutely vile.
