Congrats, you harvested your first crop! Press SPACE to put the scythe down, and click an asparagus seed. Hover your cursor to where the seed touched the planter box. Press E and wait for the asparagus to grow. Once you have 10 bucks, buy carrot seeds and farm those. Then Potatoes... etc.
