Sorry this one isn’t a very detailed piece </3 I will be making some more interesting art soon! ——— Note: Click the black box to go to the old art! Click the old art to go back to the redraw :) ——— I believe I drew this one or two years ago. I was very frustrated with the actual art when I had made it, and the colors, so I toned everything to be a warm yellow. Looking back, it’s still one of my favorite pieces, and it’s set as my iPad background. ——— 01. Basic Sketch This is the first step I make when I start drawing. Usually, with the circle head being first. I use basic shapes to determine where positions are along the body. Circles for the head, ovals for limbs and usually squares for the chest. 02. Defined Sketch This sketch is the second one I make, (although sometimes I make three-) this sketch usually doesn’t include clothes, as I almost never draw clothes on the sketch. This sketch is used to define the body more (although it’s super wonkyyy I’m sorrry T-T) 03. Outline I’m actually really happy with this outline ^^ For this, I tried to keep the old art similar to this. I wasn’t happy with the old arts body proportions though, or the face, so I went in and added more flow to those areas specifically. 04. Clip art layer This is the layer that I use to keep the main colors from outside the outline. I’ve only just now began to use this style for art and it’s very helpful! 05. Background and basic coloring I go in now with all the basic colors, and the background. We’re going for a simple look today, since the shading and lighting will help bring it together 06. Shading! Now I go in with shading. I usually use a warm, and dark red, blue, or purple. Since the sun is at her right, her main shading with be at her left. 07. Lighting! Now I go in with an orange or yellow and outline areas I want the light to cast off of her. I also go into my settings and change the opacity, and type of settings for her shading. 08. Extra detail! This isn’t needed lol, but I wanted to make it seem like she’s an actor in a movie, so I added some og black to emphasize that 09. Watermark Not needed either, but just in case :) 10. And finally, the thumb! ——— Thank you so much for viewing this! ^^ Let me know what kind of projects you’d like to see, or if you want some tutorials! ——— Music.
