Peter would turn eleven in two weeks. That meant four weeks till start of term! He had already bought his school supplies and received his letter by now, yet he hadn’t anyone to celebrate with. Peter’s parents, Matilda and Martin Pettigrew, were pureblood. They believed muggles and muggle-born were just the same as them, though muggles were obviously lacking in the magical sense. Peter had been unable to make friends, he was apparently too weak and cowardly. He was a follower too, afraid to ask to befriend anyone. He hadn’t at all expected to find anyone worthy of befriending anyway. Peter liked people who had strong personalities, and that crosses out many kids in his neighborhood. Speaking of his neighborhood, Peter lived in a house right next to the muggle settlement of Appleby. This means he was surrounded by muggle kids, and rude ones at that. They often bullied him about his appearance and strange habits such as staying up later and sleeping in half the day.
