This is a stop motion showcasing some of the many negative effects of smoking. I hope this project encourages others to not smoke or to quit smoking. If the facts in the video were a little fast, here are the same facts below: -Some teens believe that smoking would make them cool. ❌ -Smoking is addictive. One inhale can start you on a bad journey. -"Cigarette cravings can lead to anxiety."-The Real Cost -There are 7,000 chemicals in cigarette smoke. -"Smoking can cause general adverse effects on the body, including inflammation and decreased immune function."-CDC -Smoking decreases the quality of your overall health. -"Smoking can cause lung disease by damaging your airways and the small air sacs (alveoli) found in your lungs."-CDC -"Smoking makes me cough." -Valerie Halliday -"Smoking causes gum disease, which could cost you your teeth."-The Real Cost -70 of the chemicals in cigarette smoke cause cancer. -Smoking cause 90% of all lung cancer deaths. -"On average, smokers die at least 10 years sooner than non-smokers."-The Real Cost -Smoking causes about 1 in every 5 deaths in the U.S. -Smoking increases the risk of death from all causes. -Don't fall for peer pressure -"3/4 teens who think they'll stop smoking in a few years don't."-The Real Cost -If you want help quitting, call 1-800-QUIT-NOW or go to https://teen.smokefree.gov/become-smokefree. -Keep yourself in charge of your life.
