- “So, Erin.” Erin was in Deria’s office, sitting on a chair while Deria was pacing around. The office was at the top of the library. It is clean and tidy, a bookshelf with many thick books. Erin fidgets with his fingers. “I need to talk to you about someone you know well.” “Who, is this about Xander again?” He hisses. “Stop bringing him up.” “No.” She firmly states. “About Vixen.” “Oh.” Deria walks to the bookshelf, taking one of the more thiner books before putting it gently on the wooden table. “Book of the fallen angels.” She reads the title. “Here is all of the angels and saints that have betrayed heaven and paid the price.” “…And?” She opens to the first page, where Lucifer’s name and information is shown, including how he fell and his personality before his ‘betrayal’. “Everyone knows who he is.” Erin frowns. “What are you saying?” “Heaven can hear everything in Lucifer’s estate. A few hours, we picked up Vixen’s voice. “WHAT?!” Erin gets up from his chair, making it fall in the process. “Which makes me to believe she might have betrayed us,” “No! She would never!” “-and would be a major betrayal, considering she is my assistant and one of the important angels.” “Stop! You- your lying!” “Silence!” Deria shouts. Erin immediately stops. He picks up the chair and sits back down, thoughts starting to race in his head. Deria sighs. “I know you and Vixen have a strong relationship, but if she does end up betraying us…” She pauses. “You’ll have to attack her. Or worse.” Erin goes silent. “…she would never betray us.” He says after long seconds of silence. “I know it. She- she’s just probably going along with their plans until the next gate opening! Please…” “…Why do you keep on defending her after what I just told you?” Deria asks. “She’s my friend! Why wouldn’t I?” “Mm. Interesting.” “Plus…” Erin could feel his face warm up. He shakes his head to get the blushing away from his face. “I- she follows the rules so much, it’s like it’s injected into her veins. She’s a good person, and would never do anything behind our backs! She’s kind and…It just feels out of character of her.” “But if she does betray us, will you attack?” Deria stares into Erin’s eye, which where looking down at the open book. “Even if it would be out of character of her, if she did betray, would you risk the safety of heaven for some…liar?” “…I wouldn’t. I will attack.” “Good. I see Xander raised you well. You may go back to your training session.” Erin gets up and walks out of the room. He chants the same thing in his head- hoping it’s true. “She would never. She’s not a traitor.” - - Why do I do this? I am a traitor. I feel so bad for them until I actually started helping them. I’m such an idiot. I’m betraying Erin. I’m betraying everyone- I’m betraying myself. I’m such an idiot- “Hey, hello? Hell to Valyn? Valyyyyyynnn? Hell to Valyn?” Oh, right. I’m still here. “Ack- sorry!” I say, chuckling. “Oh finally!” Vivian laughs with me. “You need ta introduce yourself to the new- recruit I guess?” “My name’s Valley.” They correct. “Sorry! Anyway- Val?” I clear my throat. “I’m Valyn. Nice to meet you!” “Nice to meet you too…” “So how…how did you..make a deal with that crazy lady?” Laila asks. Valley sort of freezes up, suddenly looking uncomfortable. “…yes?” Laila tilts her head. “Oh- you don’t have to say it though!” I quickly say. “Right.” They respond. I snap a glare at Laila. “Oh- ohh [**] uhm- sorry…” she added. “It’s fine.” I just sigh. “Its gettin late.” Vivian says. I look up, the crimson sky turning a dark blue. “I’ll get going.” The other murmur and agree, standing up and walking away to their own homes. “Also, are yall sure you don’t wanna go to my house? I dunno, just for a night or two?” Laila and I just shrug. “Thats… not a straight answer??” “Yeah, I think you girls shouldn’t be sleeping out here.” Lucifer adds, before getting up and trotting away, still in his cat form. “I agree. Valley you can come as well!” Vivan adds. “Oh. Thanks!” They say. [some time later] “Uhm…goodnight I guess? This is the first time I’m staying at a house in hell.” Laila laughs. “Haha…right……” I don’t know what I’m even doing here anymore. Helping them, now staying with them? I have to stop. But I can’t. I’ll just ask one more thing. Then I’ll try to contact heaven. I don’t know how to do that, though. I need to stop this. But I just- can’t. “…Hey, you said you didn’t know what you were doing when you declared a rebellion, right?” “Yeah, why?” “Why’d you go through with it?” “…I’ve already gone this far with the rebellion, why stop?” She shrugs. I just smile with her. I’ve already gone this far with the rebellion, why stop…?
