Chapter 4 As Dumbledore spoke those words I knew he had an idea on keeping me here. That night Dumbledore sent a letter to father explaining that I would be staying. I knew father was not going to like this. The next morning as me and several other students were going to herbology we saw my father storming down the hall towards Dumbledore's office. I sighed and knew why he was here. Instead of going to class I followed my father secretly to Dumbledore's office. When I made it to his office father had already been let inside. I stood at the bottom of the entrance way trying to hear what they were saying. I could only make out the words, "Sorting", "Gryffindor" and "Slytherin". I lost track of time and about 20 minutes later I could hear father exiting the room. "Oh no!" I whispered to myself. I quickly took my shoes off knowing that running with them on would make way too much noise. I ran around the corner with just my socks on while carrying my shoes. I poked my head around the corner to check if he was coming. Father looked directly at me. "No no no no no!" I muttered to myself. I quickly ran the Herbology where father could not follow me. When I arrived in Herbology I quickly put my shoes on so no one would suspect anything. Later that afternoon I was called to Dumbledores office. As I entered his office he looked at me and smiled. "I'm sure you think you are in trouble for skipping some of Herbology to listen in on me and your father's conversation. Am I correct?" I nodded my head not knowing how he knew this. "as you can see your stuff has been brought to my office," I looked next to his desk and saw my stuff along with Ritter. "I'm going home aren't I?" I asked. Dumbledore shook his head. "Me and your father made an agreement. You can stay at Hogwarts as long as you are moved into Slytherin. Are you ok with this arrangement?" I quickly nodded my head. "Very well then, Go give this letter to Professor Snape informing him that you are now in Slytherin. Take your stuff with you." I nodded and took the letter and my stuff to Snape. I entered the Slytherin common room and placed my stuff down. "Aurora?" I heard a voice ask. I thought it was Draco at first but then I realized it was Catherine. "What are you doing here in Slytherin?" She asked. "It's a long story." I answered. Ritter jumped up onto one of the chairs. Catherine picked him up and set him down on the floor. I looked out the window, "I need to know if I actually belong in Slytherin." End of Chapter 4
