This is the first prototype of ARACHNIS - a game about scratch mascots with insectoid bodies. This prototype is just me goofing around with my recently finished FABRIK (Forwards And Backwards Reaching Inverse Kinematics) implementation. Keep in mind that this project is a modification of my FABRIK implementation, and it is not intended for use or backpacking. Maybe I'll soon release a more compact backpackable FABRIK implementation in the future for folks like you to use! So, this prototype is interactable. You can press the keys 1 to 3 to change environments, and you can move your mouse pointer to have the spider traverse the scene towards it. Also, you can press the W and S keys to increase and decrease the amount of legs accordingly, although this feature can result in bugs. If you'd like to customize your experience even more (maybe modify the structure of the legs), instructions to do so are available inside the project. If you want to share your configuration, feel free to remix this for yourself and have a stab at it! ARACHNIS will receive future prototype versions, with the ARACHNIS v0.0.1 featuring keyboard control, collisions, performance improvement and scrolling! And from that one, versions probably will include development of AI and other mascots other than Scratch cat (Tera, Gobo etc.). ARACHNIS v0.0.1 is in the making right now, but it is possible that it will lose its compatibility with vanilla Scratch, as performance improvements are crucial. So that's all I wanted to say. If you're interested in future development, you can suggest some features you'd like to see in the final product, and if you're lucky, some of them will make it into the final game! Good times.
