After a few days, Draco got out of the Hospital wing. Apparently he had broken his ankle, which Madam Pomfrey had reduced to a minor, but still painful, sprain. Draco was in the Great Hall, eating, when there was a loud noise. The doors swung open, Professor Quirrell obviously responsible. “Troll! Troll in the dungeons!” Everyone screamed, including Draco. Suddenly, the headmaster shouted at everyone to be silent, “Will the prefects please take the students to their respective common rooms? Thank you.” Draco was confused and panicked, the Slytherin common rooms were in the dungeons, and that’s where the troll apparently was. He looked around for Crabbe and Goyle, just to realize they’d already left. He decided he’d just go alone. Unaware of where he was going, Draco ran- or rather, quickly limped -through the filled halls. Eventually everyone dispersed, leaving only Draco. He paused to look around, and managed to witness Ron and Harry wandering the halls, looking for something. Or someone. Just as Draco started sprinting toward the duo, something got in his way, seeming to be going somewhere. Something big, about twice his height. The mountain troll, full-grown by the looks of it. Draco was frozen in fear, knowing this situation could be fatal. He quickly turned around, rapidly limp-running down the hallway. This caught the beast’s attention, as it became aware of Draco and started chasing him. Suddenly, Draco felt a twinge of pain in his ankle, causing him to trip and fall on the floor.
Angst! So this is the small bit of canon I said there’d be in the last chapter, the troll. Wonder what’ll happen next :) anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter! I’ll be working on another one soon I think. I aimed for six ‘paragraphs,’ but the ‘Just as Draco started…’ one was short.
