Moon stared at his body. The black fur shining in the midnight. Umbreon. He was gone...She picked him up and padded to his favourite spot in the garden. Next to his bolder, beneath the Great Oak. The place she first met him, and the place they will part. She dug a hole and buried him there. Before Moon put him in, she took off his collar. She drank in his scent for the last time. Moon buried him and placed the collar on his grave. Maybe no one will come, maybe they will. She stared at the grave and whispered four small words. "I love you, Umbreon." She dreamt of what could've been. If only he didn't... the thought was too painful. The wind and the leaves of the oak rustled and seemed to form the words, "I love you too", but Moon knew it was impossible. As she walked away from his grave, she vowed she would NEVER. LOVE. AGAIN. She thought the loss of her parents, or her owner, would hurt more than this, but this... this had scarred her for life. Now it was time for Moon to tell his siblings...
