After Gilead and UAC’s announcements to send troops to East Mersiva, Catonya has decided to send additional troops to support the armed forces in East Mersiva and provide them with advisors. A force of 6,000 troops was sent, named the Mersiva Peace Support Contingent, consisting of some units from Catonya's SATO Response Force Component and military police. Additional weapons were also sent to be handed over to the Mersivan forces including anti-armor missiles, hand grenades, and engineering equipment. This also marks the debut deployment of the newly introduced BMA-90 "Proryv" armored vehicle, which is in testing deployment with the military police.
