Name- Neil or Keegan (( or Cedar, Rowan, Levi) unsure, subject to change) Age- Roughly 17 Gender- Male (he/him) Story- The details of Neil’s past are blurry, especially surrounding his death. What he knows is that he died, and somehow ended up in the form of a cat, confined to the rural town he grew up in. While he can return to his human form for short periods, and interact with the physical world, he often feels trapped. He suspects some kind of supernatural circumstances surrounding his death, and is constantly on the lookout for clues. … The rest of the story is less well thought out, but I like to think he’d meet a girl with some kind of mind-future-telling-sixth-sense type of powers. She understands that he’s a ghost and they form a friendship. I think their teaming up has helped him hold on to some hope. They’ll both start working together to find out more about his past and the possibility of him either coming back to life or moving on. … After listening to the song a few times I started to try to think of a way that a person could LITERALLY be trapped in their home town. Different aspects of it also played a role, and so did my current love of the book series The Raven Cycle. Characterization- Neil would be clever and observant. I think he’d be on the more emotional side, but this part of him is not expressed as much anymore because he’s a ghost and doesn’t interact much, at least at first. He’d have a dynamic personality that would depend on the situation. I think he would be loyal, with a tendency towards pessimism. He feels regret about his situation and the life he could have had. Despite this he is still is determined and curious about his past, and the new world that has opened up to him.
