DON'T read this if you like the suspense of not knowing who the real characters are/figuring it out for yourself. So. On the project that I remixed, Ranboo commented "I think that maybe you should put perf’s perceptions in rainbow order and then put perf as the first character on the chart. Then reorder the chart based off of that and see what new info you might glean". I just tried that. The concept of the chart and the original organization were made by @catflubberblumf, @Iavilie, and @KatPrincessForever. THEY MADE THIS THEORY, NOT ME! I just did a truly miniscule update and made some inferences so I could add all the characters we've seen in. (and I labeled the rows and columns as the perceivers and the perceived) But uh- assuming this is correct, we now know who all the real and fake characters are, and whose point of view they're from, even the ones we haven't seen yet. So here are the real characters: Pink Perfectpaw Orange Moonpaw Green Tansypaw Blue Brownpaw Pink Saffronpaw Orange Monarchpaw (unseen) Green Dovestrike Blue Houndflight Everyone else is fake. The sooner the characters figure this out, the less the risk of someone falsely being thrown into the pit. (The figurer-outers will probably be orange moon and blue hound, maybe green tansy; they're currently the only ones going about this rationally.) So @catflubberblumf, despite the fact that you were only trying to figure out who was from whose perspective, your theory was the most effective of all. Extra theory stuff not necessary to read: Some of these don't seem to match up. This chart says that pink Saffronpaw is real, but based on what we've seen of him, he is much nicer than the real thing. I believe this is because in the pit, the real characters are just their perceptions of themselves, so pink Saffronpaw is how Saffronpaw sees himself - even though it's inaccurate. But it's as real a him as we're going to get in this weird rainbow pit that they're stuck in. The same thing is true for the other suggested real selves that don't line up with the readers' perceptions of the characters. Toph Dovestrike may not be as nervous as Green Dovestrike is, but that could still be how she sees herself. Toph Perfectpaw definitely isn't done with his character arc yet, but he doesn't know that, so Pink Perfectpaw seems like a kind, non-irritating, non-violent cat. Thank you for listening or reading or whatever it is
@catflubberblumf, @Iavilie, and @KatPrincessForever for the amazing theory and charts. @9rainbowtails for inventing, writing, and drawing all of Dungeon Toph, as well as for giving hints.
