hi fairies!! soo i'm planning on starting a blog soon which is why im posting more of this content 2 get comfortable! ofc the blog will be more formal and revised but this is fun for sc so why not ^__^ this is some media that i've been enjoying rn that i thought i would share in case u guys r interested!! soo anyways let's start ♥ ━━ ☆ ────────── ━━ ✧・゚✿∂ @ miyairies ⠀ ⠀ ── media i've enjoyed recently ❣ 1) 1917 (movie) ⠀ ⠀i js finished this movie and it was truly heart wrenching... the movie is set in ww1 and follows the story of lance corporal schofield and lance corporal blake -- they're given a mission 2 cross into german territory and deliver a msg that could save so so so many of their comrades, which includes blakes own bro >__< this story has so many twists n turns and is truly an adrenaline rush the whole way. it also highlights the atrocities of war and shows the human side of all these soldiers and really makes u FEEL for others. one of the best war movies ive watched. the visuals are absolutely stunning and so is the music, absolutely sets a mood that you cannot forget. also the actors did absolutely AMAZING and convey all the emotions exactly as they should be conveyed. the actors were amazing and really transport you into their shoes!! the script is phenomenal and theres so many hidden symbolisms, like cherry flowers. i completely recommend!! actually a work of art. it sheds light on a really dark time in our history, but does it in the most real, captivating way i've seen. it is R rated and does have some disturbing images, violence, and language so be aware of that. overall, a remarkable movie that definitely deserves the awards it has, one of the best war movies / movies in general that i have seen. 2) goat days / aadujeevitham (book) ⠀ ⠀goat days, or aadujeevitham in malayalam is a book by author benyamin i recently started and am half way through -- its beautiful and a captivating read ✧✧ its about a malayali migrant worker who, unknowingly, is sent to saudi arabia and is employed unwillingly as a goatherd. its a poignant story of isolation and courage in hard times, but it also touches the human side of najeeb, the mc. the story is entirely told in first person through najeeb's pov, and the story immaculately shows his struggle in a foreign land where he is confused and doesnt know the language. u really feel for him from the start, and as the story progresses, for me at least, i could really feel myself in najeeb's shoes. i'm reading the english version as i dont know malayalam btw! it has been turned into a movie, although i have not seen it and have no idea how close it is to the real book. anyways, it is an amazing read so far and im excited to continue! there is a little language in the translated copy, although nothing too worrisome. there is a lot of horrifying things that happen to the goats, definitely not something i can say on scratch, which made my heart break. and there is a bit that goes very in depth on how to milk a goat which might make u feel a little squirmish or something, idk. its a great novel though and if u feel like you can handle it, go for it :) i havent finished the whole novel myself so ofc i cant give warnings for everything but i thought i would tell u guys what ik. but ya its very good regardless! 3) 12th fail (movie) ⠀ ⠀my mom was going crazy about this movie and i can see why!! 12th fail follows the story of manoj kumar sharma, a lad from bilgaon in chambal, a place known for dacoits. after an encounter with a police officer, dushyant sir, manoj realizes he wants to become an officer and lead an honest life-- leading him to take one of the toughest exams in india in order to become a upsc. this story is brilliant and is based on a true story -- truly, it shows the stories of thousands of indians. the movie has amazing talents. each actor in the movie does a flawless job portraying their character, each of their personalities shining through. one of my favorities was pritam pandey, i thought he was an amazing friend, had the prettiest smile, and his dream is similar to one of my own >__< i loved manoj's family ties and showing his vulnerability was such an important thing for me. a lot of times in these movies they like to make the lead a hulk and never have weak spots, but they were so real with manoj and made him a REAL person. in fact, for almost all the characters that needed it to be shown, the movie always showed their vulnerability and need for someone to say its ok. and that hit really hard. showing characters cry and then rise up hit so so so hard. character development was very evident and the story ends beautifully, bringing a tear to your eye. the love story intertwined only added to the narrative, and it was so sweet<3 i almost cried several times while watching, and at the end i could feel tears.
umm help the desc got too long TT [] (12th fail) the story is so poignant and beautiful and really pulls at your heart strings. 12th fail is a superb movie and i hope all of u can give it a try!! the one warning i would have is there is a little language and very light, skippable violence once...other than that it isn't that bad. absolutely loved it, and will always keep its message close 2 my heart<3 ⠀ ⠀ ──⠀ ⠀──⠀ ⠀── ━━ i'm feeling a little tired now and out of ideas, so i think i'll end it here ^__^ ty to all my fairies for adjusting to this new posting style, it's really helped me fight burn out n perfectionism and i hope to get back to my normal style!! im slowly working on the confessions project and hope to post it some time this summer<3 i hope u guys found something new to try or enjoyed my insights on these 3 pieces of art i've spoken abt today!! u guys are the sweetest fairies in the world -- i love u guys sm ♥ ur beautiful, smart, kind, courageous, and sm more, regardless of what warty witches say<3 please drink water and dont skip any meals!! love u:) and that will be it for today! ty for viewing, and see u next time ^__^ xx miya
