We had spent all day yesterday in Diagon Alley buying all the stuff we would need for Hogwarts. Bellatrix had been more than welcoming and had offered to pay for the majority of things. “Are you guys excited to come to Hogwarts? I told some of the others about you. Oh, some of our childhood friends go there too! I can’t wait ‘till you guys get sorted into your houses. I hope you guys are both in Slytherin, that’s my house! And we have the BEST quidditch team, or at least in my opinion.” Tess had been telling us all about Hogwarts for the last couple hours. I didn’t think she realized how much she talked, but I guess that was normal for her. “Oh, that’s right! Quidditch! I completely forgot about that. Do you think they would let a first year try for the team?” I asked. I had loved quidditch since forever. I thought myself that I was pretty good at it, at least better than Tessa. “You should totally try! I mean, I’m not really sure you would be in first year. You guys should’ve been there last year, so there is a chance you guys will just be put in second year with me.” Tess exclaimed. “I hope so.” Tessa agreed. “I mean, I kind of think we should be put in first year. At least for a little while. We have a LOT to catch up on, like our studies, teachers, school grounds, blah.” I countered. “You really are no fun, Dana. Now, the adults are talking.” My sister teased, pointing to the closed door. I rolled my eyes. Suddenly, I heard knocking on her door to Tess’s room. It opened, and Bellatrix came out. “Girls, are you all finished packing? We need to go now if you guys are going to catch your train.” “Yeah, we’re all done. Come on, let’s go!” Tess answered, jumping off the bed and walking out the room downstairs. “I’m SO excited!” Tessa squealed as she followed Tess out, grabbing her luggage and broom. I walked out last with Bellatrix, making sure also to grab my things. “Here is where your train is. Now, Tess, show them how to get to it. I need to go now.” Bellatrix said, hugging her daughter. I didn’t understand this much, seeing as we were just standing in front of a supporter. It didn’t even have a number on it! “Okay, I know it might sound crazy, but you have to walk into the supporter to get to where we’re supposed to be.” Tess explained. I thought she was losing it, why on earth would we walk into a platform? Judging my Tess’ response, I could tell she knew what my sister and I were thinking. “Just believe me. You need proof? Oh, hang on, you remember Avera Clearwater? Here she comes.” Tess said. “Oh, hey Tenessa! Didn’t think I would need to see you so early in the year. Who are they?” A girl with short blonde hair and blue eyes walked up to our group. “Hey Avera. These are my cousins, Daniella and Tessa.” Tess introduced. “Hi, nice to meet you!” The girl Avera said. I nodded and Tessa mumbled something in response. “Avera, do you mind showing them that I’m not losing brain cells and that you really are supposed to walk into this to reach the platform?” Tess asked her friend. “Sure!” Avera responded, then took her stuff and walked straight into the supporter. I was shocked at first, then remembered that we weren’t going to muggle school, we were going to a magic school. “Your guys’ turn!” Tess directed, walked behind Tessa and I. “Dana, go first.” I braced myself to look stupid and crash into the supporter, since what I saw still looked like an illusion. Instead, as I walked quickly into the supporter, it was as if there was nothing there at all. When I reached the other side, I saw a red train in front of me. I looked up, and saw a sign written: Platform 9 3/4 “So it really is real!” I exclaimed quietly, nearly jumping up and down. This was really it, I was going to go to Hogwarts. /It really wasn’t a dream. I don’t have to worry about anything but my studies for a while now,/ I thought excitedly.
