Nahari laughed and played with Aaron, daring him to explore the forest with her. “No way, Even the adults don’t go there, it's dangerous.” Narhari rolled her eyes, “Oh come on Aaron! It’ll be fine.” Aaron shook his head, “No way Nari, I’m not doing it.” Nahari sighed, “Guess I’ll go alone then because you are such a scaredy cat.” She turned on her heel and started walking to the forest. Aaron stood there for a second watching her walk away before running after her. Nahari smiled knowing that this would happen. Aaron caught up “If we get in trouble it’s all your fault.” Nahari laughed lightly “Yeah, Yeah, Whatever you say, pretty boy.” She teased. Aaron flushed “Hey! Don’t call me that.” Nahari rolled her eyes and started to track a game trail to where they both ended up at a beautiful clearing with a small stream. “This is so pretty, I have no idea why you were so scared to come here.” Aaron shrugged at Nahari’s comment, Aaron looked up at the sky and noticed it was close to sunset. “Hey, we should head back before dark.” Nahari looked at him “Dark? We left in the early morning, and only walked for like 15 minutes. It shouldn't be anywhere near dark yet?” Aaron stared at her “What? Look up.” Nahari looked up and then gasped that it was really sunset. “Time flies I suppose. Yeah, Let’s head back.” Aaron nodded and they started to walk the game trail back home but suddenly they stopped as they heard a twig break behind them. They look at each other as they start to hear low growling, Aaron shouts “RUN!!” Nahari didn’t wait a second before she took off. She was much more athletic than Aaron so he quickly fell behind. “AARON, HURRY UP!” She shouts as she looks back seeing that the thing that was following them was only feet behind Aaron. Aaron was crying and yelled “I CAN’T GO, GET HELP I CAN’T OUT RUN IT LIKE YOU CAN!” Nahari’s heart skipped a beat as her blood ran cold, She watched the thing ponce on Aaron and heard his scream. She blinked and ran as fast as she could to the village.
