It was the winter solstice the coming week and the entire village was putting up decorations, Though the old legend was on everyone's mind, The legend was that on the winter solstice if there was a lunar eclipse a child would be found at the center of the village at midnight. The legend was thousands of years old but the village respected it, like culture and followed its rules every year. This year was special as everyone went into their houses at 8 pm. A mysterious woman appeared at the edge of town, Singing a lullaby no one knew but all found comforting. The woman walked through each corner of the village and at midnight at the center of the village disappeared. The next day people whispered how the legend was true and tried to guess what the woman was. This repeated every night until the winter solstice, where the lunar eclipse was happening. Everyone was inside holding their breaths to see if the legend was true, Ths same thing happened just as all the other nights but this time, this time the woman was carrying something. At midnight she placed it in the center of the village and disappeared. The village people rushed outside of their houses to see what was placed and wrapped in silver blankets and silk was a little baby girl. A midwife gasped “A child! The legends were true!” The next day the village gathered to see who would raise the child, after hours of bickering and fighting she finally was placed with Lady Grace, The only noble in town. Of course some people did not like this decision but it was too late Lady Grace and her husband Duke Alexander became the adoptive parents of this child, Lady Grace picked the name Nahari, for as she said “It’s such a unique and pretty name, just like her.”
