Aaron sat in class bored as always. He thought about Nahari, His best friend and crush. He wondered what they’d do today. As normally they just went to the town library and talked and read. He liked Nahari, she was polite and smart, not to mention pretty. Aaron wondered what she was planning today, she always had something up her sleeve. He looked outside at the forest and it scared him. Ever since he was little he heard tales of how people went missing in the forest even the men of the village feared it. It didn’t help that sometimes you’d hear animals scream in pain and then go silent a second later at night. He met up with Nahari after school like normal. “Hey.” He said and smiled. “Good evening.” Said Nahari as someone walked by as soon as they left she grinned with mischief. “I wanna go explore the woods at some point this week, Maybe Saturday?” She laughed and it was a soft gentle tone. Aaron’s eyes went wide and he couldn't believe his ears. “Go explore the forest?! Are you insane or something?! It’s a deathwish!” He said in a worried and annoyed tone. “Calm down Aaron, what’s the worst that can happen? We get a few scrapes and bruises?” Nahari smiled and grabbed Aarons hand with both of hers.
