Long ago, even before the legend of the moon child, there was a myth. A myth that a wolf was slain and the man that had slain it was a cheat, he did not fight the wolf as nobly as the wolf had challenged him to. The wolf after being slain in such ways cursed the man. The curse was to become what the slimy cheat was truly like and bound to this forest forever more. But as time passes, the myth slowly is forgotten but the fear is still present. The village people couldn’t remember how or why the fear of the forest began but it had been passed down through generations so they continued to pass it down. The myth slowly dissolved to just the instinctive fear of the forest. Some spun new stories on why they shouldn’t go to the forest. That didn’t matter as long as no one dared to question the reasoning everything would be fine. But Nahari loved the supernatural and wanted to put it to the test. That was dangerous and potentially deadly as she later found out. The thing the cheat of a man had turned into was angry and killed everything in it’s path. It hated the existence of people just out of its deadly reach. It wanted to see them suffer like he did. He only got the occasional stupid adventure not much and not enough to satisfy him. He wants to watch the fear, realization and then the hopelessness of the situation. Just like him all those eons ago.
