I considered doing dragonfly wings, but decided against it in the end. Not because it wouldn't look good, but because I think these are enough. [Also because I'm tired lol-] A parhelion is a bright light in the sky that appears on either side of the sun, formed by a refraction of sunlight. I chose that name because the word fits their personality; potentially offputting at a first glance [the helion part of the word makes it sound like it would be a bad thing, and this character doesn't look friendly], but more positive once you know them better. I wasn't sure what to make your character wear, so I just gave them a sort of mix between emo/goblincore kinda thing. They collect mushrooms and flowers in their pockets, which they're always on the prowl for :3 [Don't collect mushrooms or random plants irl though lol] I made them a calico cat because that's one of your theriotypes :D I know I asked about your favorite crystal, but I couldn't find a way to make amethysts fit in X,D I gave them wings because wings are cool and Parhelion deserves cool things. [But they don't like keeping their wings out for too long, because the shadows cast by them scare small woodland creatures away.] Here's a backstory. You can change it if you want, I don't mind at all. This backstory honestly feels like it's almost too simple for Parhelion, if that makes sense: Parhelion is an angel that found appeal in the forests of earth and human customs, so they came down to try them out. They liked the forests so much that they decided to live in them. Nowadays they wander through their chosen forest, picking flowers and mushrooms and general biological debris. Once a month they go to a human town close by to buy new earrings and outfits, as well as black nail polish. Cress, if you have ideas for this character [backstory, personality, gender, abilities, fashion sense, preference, potential friends/relationships, etc] then feel free to add them!
I was inspired by RAMDARAM's art style! Their colors and lines have so much personality <3 They're on youtube, but be warned, some of their animations have violence and bl00d, as well as some dark themes. Though the dark themes aren't really explored much, in my opinion. The videos are mostly beautiful art, lots of soul and vibes. BUT STILL, be careful. Drawing and character is by me. Only KittyCoder96 is allowed to use it and claim it as her own. Though honestly, I've grown kind of attached to this character after spending so long drawing them. Could you and I possibly co-own them? It's alright if you say no! ^^ Oh, sorry this took so long by the way! I wasn't working on it the entire time, and when I was working on it I got SUPER involved in the details and minuscule changes to the pose. [I left my art process inside the project again. The different versions are numerous, and span over multiple sprites X,D] I hope the thought I put into the design is visible :]
