it's official....after fourteen years of hiding my true identity...... ✦ what's transgender? ✦ being transgender means identifying as the opposite sex as you were assigned at birth. for example, a trans man is a man who was assigned a female upon birth, but changed their gender later. ✦ how does this impact you? ✦ appearance-wise: i'll start dressing more like a girl, and have already begun growing my hair out. i'm starting voice therapy to get rid of my yucky masculine tone. biologically: while i am not planning on bottom surgery (too scary), i do want to take hrt sometime in the future socially: i do not plan on changing my real-life name anytime soon. i find that it is already pretty gender-neutral, so i don't see a need. i'll start acting more like a girl around people as well. ✦ how does this impact us? ✦ from this point forward, i identify as a girl, and use she/her pronouns. it would be much appreciated if you would not use "he/him" anymore. nothing has to change about the way you talk to me, only the nicknames and pronouns you use ✦ other questions ✦ feel free to ask any questions you have in the comments, no matter how stupid you think it is! there's no judgement here <3 ✦ credits ✦ song: macarena by los del río
