I'd recommend avoiding full-screen mode for the best performance. Any framerate lower than 30 can render the game unbeatable. Based off of @flopflip25's "Very hard game" series. DISCLAIMER: This game is VERY buggy, to the point where glitches can happen at complete random. Thus, I'd recommend double-clicking the flag before playing, as this greatly lowers the chance of any errors. If anything goes wrong during gameplay, I've included a Level Select mode on the title screen to prevent the need to play through previous levels. Completed levels: 10 Target levels: 12 5/17/2018 UPDATE: -Oh dear, this stage is gonna take a while. I want to have a relatively long autoscroller stage here, but that can take a VERY long time. Be patient, this stage is gonna be pretty ambitious. 5/10/2018 UPDATE: -Began working on the final unique stage mechanic: a space shooter stage. I plan to have stages 11-12 revolve around this mechanic. I want stage 11 to smoothly transition to stage 12, so only the former stage will be selectable from the level select screen. 5/3/2018 UPDATE: -Massive graphical overhaul for the Stage 4 boss. Instead of a crudely-drawn bird with devil horns, it's now a tank with camo textures. The missiles have also been altered. -The title screen received its first major renovation. Everything looks less cluttered, the buttons look much nicer, and the logo is much easier to see. -The Level Select cards for Stages 1-5 have all been tweaked. -Added a temporary end screen, using the song "Password" from Mega Man III. I'm presenting this project on May 5, and I just wanted some kind of quick ending screen for if someone reaches the end of the game. -Finally edited the Credits screen after almost two years (it still had remnants of the abandoned music player feature!) -Updated the Sound Test screen. 4/26/2018 UPDATE: -Finished Stage 10, along with its snowman and Level Select icon. -Updated the Sound Test to include the song names. -On a side note, I've actually been updating the Sound Test very often, to include the new songs. 4/12/2018 UPDATE: -Began working on a new stage! Everything is black and white here. Everything that isn't black is fine to be touched! At the moment, this stage uses "Boss Battle 1" from Chrono Trigger, which was chosen to go match the speed of the checkered blocks. -The transition screen was finally updated. 4/5/2018 UPDATE: -Finished Stage 9 and its snowman! This stage uses the song "Bad Taste Aquarium" from Sonic Adventure. The level borrows elements from the airship stages of Super Mario Bros. 3 and the castle stages of Super Mario World. -Changed the music of several levels: -Stage 2 now uses "Ice Path" from Pokémon HGSS -Stage 3 uses "Launch Octopus" from Mega Man X -Stage 6 uses "Factory Inspection" from Kirby 64 -Added a back button to the Level Select menu, and added some unique music to it! This menu uses the song "Competition" from Sonic 3. 3/29/2018 UPDATE: -Began working on a new stage for the first time in over a year! This level will use assets from Super Mario Bros. 3, notably the obstacles seen during the Airship stages. -Added collectables! Every level (besides boss levels) will feature a snowman to collect. At the end of the game, I'll create a Score screen, which will give the player a grade of either F, E, D, C, B, A, and A+ depending on their time and the amount of snowmen they grabbed. -Touched up Level 5's ending, which should make the stage slightly easier to complete.
