He’s a part-time vigilante and of course he’ll put others before himself. Chasing after thieves, launching off of rooftops, sharpshooting targets, rescuing pets, and more- except fire- is all part of the job. He might not seem to be the type to do all that due to his disability, but he can. All thanks to his technical skills, he designed the durable leg supports that he uses to get around while on duty. Daring and charismatic, he’s more than happy to keep his home city safe- after all, he’s got a promise to keep. - backstory- (story summary is the next section) ! mentions car crash + hospitals! no one dies though, but just a warning ! There was fire. Fire everywhere he looked. He couldn’t see anything before due the swirling, stormy night, but now… everything was dimly illuminated by the ever-consuming flames. His whole body felt like it was on fire. Sai turned his aching head slightly, catching a glimpse of Bailey, who had been in the passenger seat beside him, unconscious and trapped next to him. There was fire everywhere. The next few moments were hazy and chaotic. He vaguely remembered being carefully dragged out of the burning wreckage and being placed next to Bailey’s unmoving figure, which was intentionally laid safely on the nearby grass. He faintly recalled the sound of shrieking sirens and the blinding flashlights and the feeling of being carted into an ambulance. Sai remembered the faint scent of antiseptics and the overwhelming lights. There were doctors swarming around him. There was pain, pain, pain. But what he remembered crystal clear was Bailey’s scratched, still face and the buildings burning and burning in his mind. Sai woke up in cold sweat. He had never been so scared and helpless in his life. Sai sighed as he gazed at the bow that hung on his wall. Yeah, he’s been in many dangerous situations, but he will never forget that night months ago. It’s the reason he does what he does. He made a promise to Bailey. - full story summary- Eight months ago, Sai and his boyfriend Bailey were in a car accident that resulted in Sai getting badly injured, Bailey in a coma, and fire everywhere. Sai was rescued by an unknown stranger, who inspired him to become a hero and save others. With the help of his engineering professor, Sai created the leg supports that allow him to bound from building to building and walk without further assistance. He never gave up on Bailey and made a promise that he’ll try his best to help and save others- to not fail them like he failed Bailey. Even as a vigilante with gadgets, he still has his deep instilled fear of fire to this day.
