Everyone welcome our baby back mwah Lore hehehehe Basically after Rowan’s second attack where he ties Mal up by the wrists and ankles, hence the wrist scars, Malikai goes for revenge. But once Rowan ends Mischa’s, Malikai’s lover, life, Malikai goes half insane and hunts Rowan down like a bloodhound. But when it comes to the “final fight”, Rowan’s too overpowered and Malikai gets killed trying to protect Ray, Malikai’s second lover after Mischa, from being stabbed by a spear Rowan threw. Malikai goes to the afterlife, Nirvana, where the primordial gods Tragedy and Comedy grant him godship as “Death’s Host”, where he comes back to life and ends Rowan at the cost of some aspects of his appearance. He gets to keep his big sword though, which can be summoned from his four earrings because it’s a double sided blade that’s blue, red, yellow, and green to represent the different quarters of the Four Quarters world they’re living in. The first half of the meme is after Rowan’s first attack and before Malikai’s death, the second half is after Malikai’s death and resurrection. Death’s Host means he can summon eight of the 16 pillars of Nirvana, the seven deadly sins and death. That’s what the rings are for. If he smashes a specific ring, it will summon that specific pillar, but if he eats the ring, he can mutate with the pillar and gain their powers while being able to still have full control of his mutated body.
