Chapter 20 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Zelda~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hyrule Cream's Zelda sat with Mipha, Yona, Daruk, Yunobo, Sidon, Urbosa, and Riju. Tulin hadn't been able to come, but that was probably for the best. "So..." Zelda started. "I think I know why Link is depressed. And it's because of me." Tears start running down her cheeks. "I genuinely thought that he was cheating on me... and... one day, a month ago, I..." Zelda paused to wipe away the tears. "I... I yelled at him. Told him I never wanted to see him again. Told him he hadn't just broken my trust, but my heart. At the time, I didn't connect it to him not coming to school... but now I know. It was me. I was blind to realize that he... Link... was trying... trying to tell me that he wasn't cheating on me. And that he did love me, oh so very much. And I think that, when I yelled at him, it broke him." At this point Zelda was sobbing. "So now you know. And if you hate me, that's okay. I hate myself right now." For a minute, the others sat there in stunned silence. Then, one by one, they got up, walked over to Zelda, and gave her one big group hug. Zelda was so surprised she stopped crying. "So... you guys don't hate me?" Riju shakes her head. "We could never hate you. You are our friend. And friends stick together." Zelda nods. "But what do I do now?" Daruk steps forward. "Go to Link's house." Urbosa adds "Apologize to him." Sidon steps forward as well. "Make it up to him." Yunobo pipes in "Be kind to Link." Mipha calls "Just be there with him." Yona says "Show him you care about him." Zelda nods. "Thank's you guys. Now, I better go, before it's too late." She runs to her bike, hops on, and starts heading to Link's house. CHAPTER 21 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Zelda~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At Link's house. Zelda walks up the front steps to Link's house, and rings the doorbell. A few minutes later, Link's grandma opens the door. "Zelda! What brings you here?" she asks. "I need to talk to Link." Zelda replies. Link's grandma looks confused. "But don't you know that he's well," she doesn't finish. "In a state of depression? Yes, I know. And I've come to make it right." Link's grandma notices the tears flowing down Zelda's cheeks. She nods. "Okay, you can try, but... no guarantees." Zelda nods back. "I know. But that won't stop me from trying." Link's grandma opens the door further and lets Zelda in. "You know where Link's bedroom is?" She asks. Zelda nods. She goes to the stairs and walks up them. She then goes to the second door on the right of the hallway. Zelda takes a deep breath, preparing herself for what she might see. She knocks on the door, then opens it and steps inside. Zelda gasps. Link is lying, spread out, on his bed. His face is pale, and his breathing is shallow. Was she too late? Zelda shook that thought from her head and rushed over to Link. She shook him, gently at first, but gradually harder. "Link! Link! Wake up!" she said, still shaking him. But he stayed asleep. Zelda started to cry. 'What have I done?!?' she thought. "Link! We need you! I need you! Please Link, wake up!" She shook her head. It was no use. But she had one more idea. Hopefully, it would work. Zelda leaned forward and kissed Link strait on the lips. A few seconds later, she felt warm breath against her lips. She pulled back, and looked at Link as his eyes fluttered open for the first time in a long time. "Link!" she cried, then leaned down and kissed him again. She was so happy he was awake again. Link POV 3 days later Link sat in a small restaurant with Zelda. This was their first date since he woke up, and they had spent almost every waking hour together, with Zelda continuously apologizing, and Link forgiving her. Link leaned forward and lightly kissed Zelda. They smiled at each other, and from that day on, they were always together, until they died of old age. That is the end of Hyrule's Legacy folks.
