hey everybody, this is just something I thought was really cool. (p.s. it's trigonometry!) say that x is the degree measure at the center of the circle. sin(x)= opposite (green) over hypotenuse (orange). if you multiply that by the hypotenuse (or radius), you get the length of green, which is the y (axis). in cosine, you do that exact same thing, except cosine is adjacent (purple) over hypotenuse! using these trigonometric functions, you can make circle on a coordinate plane!
