my dad made me do this ik there are no lawyers it's a simulation it's not supposed to be super fun :| This famous prisoners dilemma is a example of the nash equilibrium at work in the game theory. The Nash equilibrium is basically a lose lose, while the pareto equilibrium is the win-win. The prisoners dilemma has four possible outcomes; prisoner A confesses and prisoner B doesn't so A has 0 years sentence and B has 3 years sentence, B confesses and A doesn't, and B is set free but A has a three year sentence, or both prisoners confess, and get a 2 year sentence, and last but not least, if none of them confesses they each get a 1 year sentence. The pareto equilibrium point here is if none of the prisoners confess, and the nash equilibrium point is where both of them want to be set free, and end up each getting a 2 year sentence. --------------------------------------------------------------- if you made it this far, you get a cookie :D -------------------learn more----------------------------- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prisoner%27s_dilemma
