This is my entry for OJ!! I only discovered this DTA a couple days before the due date, but I saw OJ, and I had to enter!! :3 ~~~~~~~ This has been so much fun for me to do and I am really happy with the final product, so I hope you like how it came out!! ~~~~~~~ And without further ado…. I present….. ✨Sunburst!✨ +Sunburst||He/Him||Straight||Loyal, Carefree, Sensitive+ "In losing everything I wanted, I found the one thing I needed." (also, am I the only person who made OJ male? I haven't seen another male OJ entry, but I personally really thought he should be a boy!) Bio!! (help why is it so long :p) - [TRIGGER WARNING - Betrayal, Bad Relationships, Loss, Violence, Fire, Drowning(?)] Sunburst had always been a "spare son" in his parents, the King and Queen’s, eyes. All his parents attention was poured onto his brother, who was everything his parents wanted in an heir; he was bold, he was confident, he was ambitious. He was the one cat who Sunburst strived to be like, and who inspired Sunburst to be his best despite his parents’ disinterest, gaining quite a few supporters around the kingdom. It wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t too bad either. However, everything was about to take a sharp turn downhill. One summer, a huge fire swept over the west wing of the palace, burning down the royal bedrooms and taking the life of Sunburst’s father, the king. Sunburst’s brother, who was first in line for the throne, would now officially become king in one week’s time, and finally assume power over the kingdom which he’d always desired. He should've been happy with what he'd achieved, but in his eyes Sunburst was always going to be a threat to him, with his increasing popularity within the kingdom. He knew that if Sunburst didn't exist, he would be unchallenged, and all-powerful, so Sunburst’s brother decided to get rid of Sunburst once and for all. Late at night, Sunburst’s brother led Sunburst alone to the royal gardens, claiming he wanted a private conversation to discuss Sunburst’s role in the kingdom. However, as the two brothers approached the bridge together, Sunburst’s brother fell back and attacked Sunburst from behind, injuring him badly. Horrified and confused why his brother would do such a thing, his focus wavered, and his brother shoved him over the side of the bridge. Weak from the multiple blows his brother inflicted, he floundered pathetically, causing him to be swept away by the current. Unable to stay afloat for long, Sunburst fell unconscious and washed up downstream, where the quick thinking of a girl, Zinnia, saved his life. Heartbroken by his idol, his own brother, Sunburst was left defeated, without any idea how to, or any desire to get home. Zinnia, who was part of a small town outside the kingdom, noticed that Sunburst seemed hesitant and lost, and began to talk to him. However, Sunburst was unable to make a meaningful connection with her, no matter how hard she was trying to help him. She never gave up, though, and stayed by his side as he recovered, always offering to talk about it, but he never wanted to, for he wanted to never speak of everything he’d lost. Hardened by pain and loss, he pushed onward, creating a new life for himself, separate from his brother’s. Eventually, he finally opened up to Zinnia, and she told him to let his brother keep his dirty throne, and they would be happy elsewhere, away from his lies. Sunburst realized she was right, and the throne wasn’t worth all the pain it caused, and knew he finally found where he really belonged. ~~~~~~~ Thanks for reading all this and good luck to all the other competitors!! :3
