Chapter 23 - Not Alone -- The sounded continued. Both sides looked around in confusion, stopping their actions. Whisper raised her head. She looked around confused. Umbra, below her, looked confused as well. From the shadows of the trees, Crypt emerged with Fortuna. Behind him, lay the entirety of the Ghost Kits. Crypt raised his staff, his Skeletions coming up out of the ground. "Attack!" The wave rushed forwards, surprising the Kit Coucil's army. The rest of the kist followed suit. Ghompy and Spirrit catcher were shooting ghosts downwards, Nyx slicing through them, Fortuna blasting cards in everyone's faces, The Skeletions mowing down the opposition, Eldric absorbing heath energy, Unlike the hasilty assembed armies, they fought to each other's prefection, as in a perfact balence, each move either complementing or beifiting the other. With the tide truned, engery seemed to push through the resistance's bodies as they fought back. Phantasm appering and dispersing, striking with her sword. A new wave of drills was unleashed, to be met almmost instantly with Crypt's Skeletions. The swarmed over Drill's big drill, Drill shouting as he was being overtaken. From overhead, Cyber dropped TNT down on the battlefeild below. Ghompy and Pirate Davey were locked in a cannon battle, each firing their respective shots at each other, it went on, until Ghompy knocked Davey off. Soon, it was just Warrior and Baker left fighting. Yumi jumped onto Baker and grabbed him, then Pyro faced him. "D-don't!" sputtered Baker. Pyro looked at his flamethrower, then at Baker. He put it away. Baker's face showed relief. "I'm not done." Pyro pulled back his fist, then realsed, and Baker, fell, unconcuis. Now it was just Warrior. Pyro started, but Phantasm put her hand on frontt of him. "Let me." She dissapered for a second, then reappeared in front of Warrior. Warrior smiled. "You're joking? They sent you-" He didn't get a chance to finish before Phantasm engaged him in a swordfight. Blades flashing with almost near impossible speed, both very oviously skilled. Then Phantasm let out a bright flash. Warrior cried out as he was blinded, and then he found himself facedown on the hard stone floor, Phantasm standing over him, her sword pointed. "It's over!" someone called out. "We won!" Pyro nodded. "We have won." Suddenly exhausted, Pyro went up the stairs. Sitting at edge of the ruins, Pyro looked out apon the sunrise. It's a new age, one where they can use their powers however they want. At least he hoped. Zephyr sat down beside him. "You really think its over, you know? It seems a long time coming, but I feel like we're forgetting something." Phantasm, Umbra, who was being supported by Fortuna, and Crypt, also came to join them. Pyro thanked Crypt. "It nothing. We've been unsettled. We needed that." conceded Crypt. For a long time, they sat and watched the sunrise, saying nothing as the kits below them celebrated. Fortuna was about to say something, when a roar was heard, eoching. Below the cliff, they saw Hepestuts running away in terror from a kit, who was flashing a diamond sword. Diamond. it was rare, but Barbarian had it when he was close to rage- oh no. no, no, no. Heptistsus cowered as Barbarian took his final push, and a defending roar was heard, a long with a crack, as the Rageblade reunited with it's owner. And then came Eldertree, charging at Barbrain. but Barbrain merely swung his sword,and Eldertree was driven backwards, bark flying. Then Barbarain kicked him, and poised his sword over Eldertree, ready to sink it down. But, a whistle was heard, and the whip of a lasso, and Lassy, who Pyro had not noticed during the fighting, grabbed both Hephtitus and Eldertree with her lasso, brining them upwards. Barbrain turned to the cliff in fury, roaring. He sunk The Rageblade into the cliff, and it started to crack. "That'simpoosib-" Zephyr started to say, but was cut off by Fortuna who yelled, "Run!" It was too late. they all started to plummlet downwards, a long with almost the entirety of the wind ruins. --
