enter the value of each part of the regular shape if a value is unknown, set the value to 0 the number of sides and either the radius, apothem, or the length of one side is required to calculate
the way it works, if you want to know: the first thing it calculates is the radius. there are two ways to get the radius. the radius can be found given either the length of one side, or the length of the apothem. after the radius is calculated, the apothem can be found given the radius. then, the length of one side can be calculated give both the radius and apothem. (the length of one side can be calculated by using only the radius, but i found it easier with both the radius and the apothem). the perimeter can be found using the length of one side, and finally the area can be calculated using the perimeter and the apothem. of course, the number of sides is needed to calculate all of these.
