Chapter 12 Jade Jade wanted to be friends with Callie, she really did. She just… made a bad first impression. Punching someone was a really bad first impression. Even the professors were wary of her now. Jade had been given detention on her first day at Hogwarts for punching Callie. She hadn't meant it, she just hated the name Elizabeth. When someone called her that, she got really mad and then without realizing, well, her fist would come flying… Jade slumped in the back desk of dada, watching Callie, a natural Ravenclaw, answer all the questions right. Jade’s eyes glazed as she stared at the long passages. She was smart, she was a ravenclaw after all. Just, a different type of smart. Jade knew all this stuff already, her parents had taught her, and 1st year dada was soooooooo boring… “Ack!” Jade awoke to find her hands splattered with dark ink. There was some on her face too. She pulled out a little mirror she kept in her bag. Her mother, Luna had warned her about basilisks (“my friend was taken in her 1st year!”), hence the mirror. She took a peek at her reflection and grimaced. Jade’s face had been drawn on with ink. She now had the word “DUMMY” written across her forehead, plus a mustache and round glasses. She looked around for the culprit(s). Three Gryffindors were giggling in the corner of the classroom. One was Geraldine Potter (barf), her giggly brunette friend, and a freckle boy with brown hair that had WAY too much gel in it. Jade wanted to punch them, but knew a more creative way to get revenge…
