It was 1:00 in Godric’s Hollow, and inside a cozy little house was a family of five, seated around the table eating lunch. One girl, who had brown hair with blonde highlights and was wearing a teal hoodie poked her sandwich. Her sister, who had brown hair with blonde tips was devouring hers as if she hasn’t eaten for months. However, one sister who had gingery-brown hair and blue eyes was staring intently out the kitchen window, ignoring her food completely. “Coral, hon, eat your lunch,” their mother said, looking at her ginger-haired daughter. “It could come any minute!” Coral groaned, still looking out the window. The sister with the teal hoodie scoffed and said, “What’s so exciting about a letter?” Coral tore her eyes away from the window to glare at her sister and snarl, “It the letter from Hogwarts! Of course you wouldn’t know, Piper, you aren’t going yet.” “Coral…” said their father in a warning tone. He was a Muggle, who had no magic powers whatsoever. His wife, however, was a witch. The other sister, with her mouth full of food, said, “I wont my lepper two,” “Ivy, finish chewing before you talk,” their mother snapped. Ivy swallowed and said cheerfully, “I want my letter too!” Coral opened her mouth to say something when a tawny owl swooped down into the room through the window. Piper shrieked, and Coral gasped. Ivy had her mouth full of sandwich, so she couldn’t say anything. “It’s here! I can’t believe it!” Coral said, shocked. She reached forward and untied the letter from the owl, which ruffled its feathers and took off again. Ivy and Piper looked over Coral’s shoulder as she read the letter. She sat there, speechless for a bit until she said, “Can we go to Diagon Alley? Right now?” Her dad chuckled. Their mother frowned and said, “Sorry, sweetie, but it’s a bit too late for that.” “It’s only 1:15!” Complained Piper, who obviously wanted to see Diagon Alley. “Tomorrow we can go. Now eat your food.” Their mother said. Coral ate her sandwich, excited for tomorrow.
