Chapter 5: History As I watched the fields of the orphanage disappear, I sighed a breath of relief. I was glad to be rid of Orile. She was a nasty woman. I despised her, though she was the only reason I survived in the first place. So what really happened? ...Well! It started on my 9th birthday. My original home was wrecked during the Grisly War. My family was torn apart. My mother, my older brother, my younger sister, and my grandpa were shipped off to somewhere in South America. Meanwhile, my father, my older sister, my grandma, aunt, and me were sent off to Asia. Tragic. We were separated and I never saw my other half of my family again. My half of the family died of some disease or other. Chapter 6: What is Home? The lady introduced herself as Ms. Dale. She said she would take care of me. Her house was my house. I was lucky; the house was more of a mansion. It was a clean white and the trees beside the home were magnificent. It was mine. Wow. But...Was that what a home was? Ms. Dale told me to go upstairs and find a room I liked. I went to one of the smaller, cozier ones, decorated in a hazy green. I liked it. Mostly everything was green: a sage wallpaper, a light green and white bed, a lamp that was a pale green. Calming and soothing. Welcoming and friendly. Perfect.
