Chapter sixteen Kloud "You must be talking about my older sister, Thalia." Jason says. He looks paler than before now that we pointed it out. I want to apologize but at the same time I wonder why he reacted like this. But it's too late Annie beats me to a decision. "Sorry, this must be a touchy subject." She says sympathetically. I wish I could be as nice and cool as her. She always knows what to feel and when to feel it. While I'm an emotional wreck. (Aren't we all) Valdez and Poppy walk over still looking a bit confused. "We should really go," Valdez says finally out of his daze. "All the weapons and people are making Festus nervous." "But we haven't started planning anything-" Jason starts. "Go," Annabeth interrupts, "You've only three days till the solstice. Go now while you can, plus you shouldn't keep a nervous dragon waiting." She says. Jason seems hesitant but walks toward the dragon after an encouraging look from Poppy, "It was nice meeting you," She says, "My name's Piper if you didn't know." She smiles and walks over to Jason. I turn to Valdez. "You better not die on this quest. If you do, I'll personally drag you back from the Underworld and kill you myself." I tell him. He grins at me and I feel my face heating up. "Don't worry about me," he says smiling wider by the second, "I'll come back, hermoso." I smile back, "You better, Valdez." He walks over to Festus and helps Piper and Jason on board. Festus shoots up into the sky and flies off. I look back at Annabeth. She looks sad and wistful like she misses this. "They remind you of y'all, don't they?" I ask. She looks over at me and gives me a big hug. "Don't worry, we'll find him. I promise." I rub her back.
