The board is infinite. You can capture any piece, including your own. Pawns move and capture forwards. Any piece you capture, you can place it back onto the board (use the 'a' key to cycle.)
The Ping could be better, but you can premove while you wait, but only with Pawns, Knights, and Kings. The game does not use the real internet. The "ping" at the top left is how long the screen takes to update. The number at the top left is the number of pieces left on the board, including your own.
