A/N: First off, thank you for taking the time to watch and read this, I've worked so hard on all the things I write and make. Secondly, I would like to explain a few things, for starters each chapter will have a small part of a song to match the chapter, this first one is Careless by Neffx. And each part will have a small clue to fidgure out what happened to the mom, and her. Lastly, please keep in mind this is chapter one, meaning its probably going to be boring during the first parts. --------------------------------------Now:------------------------------------ watch the video first then read. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!i! Story starts here !i!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The bus ride home was horrible for me. I had just been written up for the second time this month. "your moms going to freak." My best friend said with a laugh. I glared at her, making her laugh more. "I know." I said with a light huff. "she wont understand, shes so controlling of everything i do." I explained and rolled my eyes. "she cares about you." She said and looked at me. I gave her another glare before turning back to the window. "No she doesn't, she just like to be in control." I argued. "well your not the best kid in the world." My friend argued back. "Because she makes me one." I bit back, she sighed knowing that arguing with me would be useless. Soon the bus pulled to my stop and I got off. I took a deep breath trying to mentally prepare myself for the lecture my mother would give me once I reach the house. I opened the door and looked around the house seeing no sign of her around. She must have had to work late, taking this as a win I went to the house phone. Knowing the message about the write up would be on there. Or hoping it would be, I erased the message from the phone. Just as she pulled into the driveway. I dashed to my room and tried to act normal. She didn't talk or call me in the room. Just as I suspected she didn't get the call. Later that night in the cramped kitchen of our house, mom and I stood on opposite sides of the table, the space between them thick with tension. Mom's hands trembled slightly as she tried to steady her voice. "I cannot believe you got written up for kicking a student," Mom said, her voice strained with a mix of disappointment and concern. My eyes flashed with defiance and shock she did know. "He had it coming, okay? He's always picking on me and I just couldn't take it anymore." "You could have talked to a teacher, or to me," Mom countered, her frustration mounting. "There are better ways to handle these situations than resorting to violence." "You never understand!" I shot back, my fists clenched at my sides. "Nobody does." mom took a deep breath, trying to keep her composure. "And yelling at a teacher? What was that about?" my face flushed with anger. "She was taking his side, just like everyone else always does! I had to stand up for myself." "You can't just yell at authority figures, Haley," Linda said firmly, her voice tinged with exasperation. "It only makes things worse." I slammed my hands down on the table, my voice rising. "You don't get it! You're not my mom. You can't tell me what to do!" Mom's jaw tightened, hurt flickering in her eyes. "I may not be your biological mother, but I love you like my own daughter. I care about you." "Well, it doesn't feel like it!" I yelled, tears welling up in her eyes. "You're always on my case, always trying to control me." mom took a step forward, her voice shaking with emotion. "I'm trying to help you. I want you to succeed, but you have to listen." I shook my head, backing away from mom. "I don't need your help. I can handle things on my own." mom's voice cracked as she struggled to hold back tears. "You're only fifteen. You don't have to do everything on your own." I turned away, wiping angrily at my eyes. "I hate it here. I hate you." I stormed out of the room and into my own. "Your grounded!" Mom yelled and I slammed the door shut. I looked out the window seeing the stars, one was so bright. I remember what my real mother use to tell me about the star. It would grant any wish, but greedy wishes would get punishments. I scuffed, how stupid was it? "I wish my mom would just go away." I muttered and walked to my bed. not noticing how the star shown brighter. The next day went like normal, she talked with her friends, went to classes. Then she went home. As she walked to the house she noticed things out of place. The door hanging off the hinges, the glass shattered and thrown across the room. She entered the house after much contemplating. She slowly went into the living room, the t.v half hanging on the wall with it broken showing bright colors. The pillows thrown around the room. the table flipped over and glass broken. She then called out for her mom. "Mom?" she asked, with no reply. She slowly made her way to her parents room. The door was hanging on the hinges like the front door, except one thing was different...
There was red on the handle. She prayed it wasn't what she thought it was. she pushed the door open and the red followed into the room, over the floor. She looked and didn't find her mom. Leaving her with a mix of terror and relef. She wasn't dead, but she was defently here, who would have known what she had been through? or if she was taken or not? ********End Of Chapter One*****
