It’s called a Lunar Halo. Caused when moonlight goes through thin, cirrus clouds and the light is refracted and reflected off of ice crystals high in the Earth’s atmosphere. Acc to myth and folklore, it symbolises feminine energy (yaas #girlpower), good luck, and transformation and change. Buutt it is also said to predict wet or stormy weather, and occurs when the weather is cold. Apparently it’s quite common, but first time I’ve seen it lol. THIS ONE WAS HUUUGE, IT TOOK UP LIKE HALF THE SKY!! but I noticed it was slowwwlyy shrinking. So cool!
