Have you ever wondered what a Boid is? Have you ever wanted to play around with Biods? Well... in this simulation you can! Information about Biods: Boids are a type of artificial life program, developed by Craig Reynolds in 1986, which simulates the flocking behavior of birds. Boids follow 3 basic rules: #1 Separation (apart) - Each boid will try to keep a distance from any other boid to avoid collision. #2 Cohesion (bond) - Each boid will also want to be part of a group. #3 Alignment (general flow) - Each boid will try to follow the general direction as the other Boids around it. Fun fact: The term "boid" is derived from "bird-oid object," meaning bird-like object. How to use: press the 'space' key and the variable will show, then you can adjust these variables and create your own flocking behavior! Also I did a feature where you can play with the boids, just check 'boids reaction to mouse', and 'boids range to mouse' and also adjust these too! When you're done, press the 'space' key again to hide the variables! Enjoy your creation! :D Hope you enjoy it!
Comment your combinations! Give the variable names the numbers too! Credits go to @griffpach for his amazing tutorial about boids! I also made some adjustments to his code! :D
