Works best in turbowarp. In order to play this game: 1. click SEE INSIDE, 2. DELETE the script labelled "DELETE THIS" in the sprite "XYlimiter + BGM," 3. REMIX/DOWNLOAD the project, and 4. PRESS the green flag three times. All other instructions are shown in-game. Sorry mobile users, you will need a keyboard for this.
------------------------- C R E D I T S ------------------------- All coding by me. First of all, thank you so much to @Yellowcat_Gaming for his contributions to the original music of this game and helping out with the art of this project. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time out of your day to help me, and I could not have done this without your help. Thank you to Hurri, aka ThatOneHurri (not a scratcher, but her YT and DA are out there), for the battle HUD sprite and play-testing the game on her stream. Thank you to @RedBeansNotRice and others for play testing this project. Music used: Casin by glue70. Greedy by Plasterbrain. various works by Siivagunner. Some sound effects and graphics taken from Earthbound and Deltarune. If I'm missing any credit where credit is due, please let me know in the comments and I will update this. ------------------------- N O T E S ------------------------- For those who have been sticking around for this project for the past couple years, YES, this is the Connector: Eye of the Beholder project I said I'd make. I apologize for taking so long to release this project; I have been especially busy with school and life these past years, and this project's trajectory has vastly changed since I first dreamed it up in 2021. Originally meant to be a tech demo showcasing some creative and unique video game mechanics I thought of in my free time, CRYPTID has become a massive passion project that I have been creating for the past 3 years. I have always wanted to create my own video game series, and, in a way, this project is my first steps to fulfilling that dream. Because of how much space the project takes up on scratch, I am moving the game to a more powerful engine so I can complete it and release it on steam. I would say I am around halfway done with the entire project (you are only seeing around 30% of what I already made in this demo), but, due to thinking and planning the story and rest of the game out, I should be able to get the other done more quickly. ALSO, about the first few enemies looking all sketchy, I'm changing the battle artstyle to be more like SUITS: A Business RPG and OFF, but I haven't done it for all of the characters yet.
