ENTRY: A wolf padded back and forth outside the den. How long would it take? He'd been waiting for an hour! Under his feet, he had worn a groove from walking. He had a rusty brown-red coat, brown eyes, and his left ear had a notch out of it. Many wolves thought that he'd gotten it from a hawk. If only they knew... He was about to leave when a smokey figure of a wolf passed in front of him. He stopped. The brown-red wolf started to back away. “Who are you?” he growled. “That doesn’t matter,” the smokey wolf said. When it talked, the smoke around it swirled. “What does matter is about your cubs.” “What about them? They’re not even born yet.” The rusty-colored wolf growled. He pounced. Just as he was about to hit the smokey wolf, it disappeared, reappearing five feet away. “You think they’re going to be normal.” “They're going to. I already chose three names for them.” “So, you assume that they're going to be triplets, like almost every litter is. I can tell you something. They're going to be twins.” “Which elements? Fire and ice or wind and earth?” the rusty-colored wolf asked. “Let me just say this. They’re going to have a lot bigger fate in the elements than the rest of this pack.” He disappeared into smoke. Suddenly, the palm leaves covering the entrance parted. His mate padded out of the den, looking happy, and she was carrying two cubs. “One girl and one boy. They’re twins, though. I wonder what their powers are going to be. Fire and ice or wind and earth? Wait, why aren’t you looking happy?”
I hope you like it! This is 100% by me.
