Though there weren’t any villain attacks, there were a lot of other not kid-friendly things, like gangs. In fact, his mother (the only parent figure who he looked up to) died in a gang attack when Akasuki was 10. Akasuki quickly realized heroes wouldn’t be coming to his rescue.
